my second ex wife tried to put me on support so I paid it. I also had it written in the court papers that if she asks for anything more, be it food or money or a drive somewhere etc that that amount gets removed from my next support payment. She got the house I paid for plus my car so my payments were only $365/month. She called and claimed she needed $1500 because the car broke down. I offered to pay a repair bill but I was not giving her that much money. 2 days later we had a court update for support because she got another job. She drove the car to court; nothing wrong with it. When the judge went over our finances she changed my support amount to $180/month because she was making more than me. She tried fighting the judgement but was told this is how it is and if she quits her job so the support goes back up that I will still only be paying the $180 regardless. The house needed a new roof so she asked me for the money. I said "sure thing" and paid the roofers. It was almost $8500 so that means I had just under 2 years where I didn't pay her a cent. She took it to court but the judge decided against her.

Child support should not go to the parent. It should go to a trust which pays the child. Parents, who live off the child support as the only source of income, should be thrown in jail for fraud. Child support is 100% a scam the government takes their 7%. An screws both parties.

It's called child support and as I understand it both parents should be supporting the child so if he's paying $216,000 a year then her income should match his so she can contribute $216,000 to the support of that child and the court should ask for receipts.

Child support maximum should be the same as Welfare maximum, since the STATES say THAT is enough for kids, and states have 'UNLIMITED resources' (comparatively speaking), then what the states give, is the maximum men should have to give. Child support needs to be supported by receipts. The man gives you money, you’ll show proof of how you used it. If there is extra money, it should be taken out of the next money child support. For 5 years I was paying child support while my son lived in the same home with us. Never not one time did she even give me half the money back. I did everything for my son. That's the sad part about child support they can take up to 45% of your paycheck as support. Nothing a man can do about it. They can garnish your wages or even put you in jail and nothing you can do about it. Also they Don't regulate how the money is being spent they don't even care as long as the women gets the money she can do whatever she wants with it.
Nobody should be paying these crazy 10k, 18k, 20k, etc. a month payments. Should be a set amount that the states decides that is needed for a child and then the income shares kick in to balance that. If it is about the kid continuing to have the same quality of life he/she had with Dad then just give Dad primary custody.

I have a lot of friends who are subjected to paying child support and the BM’s only use some of the money on the child especially if they’re under the age of 12, they’re going to get their hair done, nails and feet basically only spending it on themselves. The program is called Child Support not BM support, what the courts need to start doing is taxing the money the mothers are getting or setup some sort of system where the child only gets enough for the month.

This is bonkers, I asked my baby daddy if he wanted to do it together, separate or I'd do it by myself, he chose together. Then he chose to get hooked on H and Me** so i said get sober or I'm filing for child support because I was already the one paying for everything and really wanted to have my son have a father but couldn't trust him with my boy alone. It took 3 years of bs until i had enough left him and filed,MF has paid a total of about 1200 in the past 9 years and my son is now 11 and don't have a father and he's never called or showed up when invited to birthdays ect. If he would've offered to send groceries to my house i would've been more then gratful even with the broken agreement. This is why I believe All child support should be put on a card like EBT as well as all the same restrictions and the moment the individual or the mother is caught using other means. For example selling the child support card to someone else in order to get cash she will be sent to court and her rights as the child's mother will be stripped and give it to the father to further notice. If 4 chance that the father cannot be found the child will give it to a relative or close media family member but the mother does not have the right to take the child or bring the child anywhere without supervision at all times and it the parent guardian at the time does not follow these rules a child will be stripped away from them and unfortunately I will put into foster care system. Why am I single this it's simple it's child abuse if you using the child in order to get more money from the father to live a life so that you choose then you are literally abusing the child to make money.

I feel your pain. There was a time when I got back with my son's mother. Of course my son lived with us include any her other two children from a marriage she had after we broke up years before. For 5 years I was paying child support while my son lived in the same home with us. Never not one time did she even give me half the money back. I did everything for my son. Nobody should be paying these crazy 10k, 18k, 20k, etc. a month payments. Should be a set amount that the states decides that is needed for a child and then the income shares kick in to balance that. If it is about the kid continuing to have the same quality of life he/she had with Dad then just give Dad primary custody.

I have a lot of friends who are subjected to paying child support and the BM’s only use some of the money on the child especially if they’re under the age of 12, they’re going to get their hair done, nails and feet basically only spending it on themselves. The program is called Child Support not BM support, what the courts need to start doing is taxing the money the mothers are getting or setup some sort of system where the child only gets enough for the month.

This is bonkers, I asked my baby daddy if he wanted to do it together, separate or I'd do it by myself, he chose together. Then he chose to get hooked on H and Me** so i said get sober or I'm filing for child support because I was already the one paying for everything and really wanted to have my son have a father but couldn't trust him with my boy alone. It took 3 years of bs until i had enough left him and filed,MF has paid a total of about 1200 in the past 9 years and my son is now 11 and don't have a father and he's never called or showed up when invited to birthdays ect. If he would've offered to send groceries to my house i would've been more then gratful even with the broken agreement. A person shows they care by their actions not by their net worth and I can't believe any woman would complain about such things. Shh f the groceries if you're a good enough man to stay in that kids life and let them know they have a father who loves them just keep your money cuz the child is what matters and at that point you honestly don't owe each other nothing if that kiddo knows both his parents love them and will provide for them.
