LYRICS
I'm good to go
And I'm going nowhere fast
It could be worse
I could be taking you there with me
I'm good to go
Though it looks like I'm still on my own
I'm good to go for something golden
Though the motions I've been going through have failed
And I'm coasting on potential towards a wall
At a hundred miles an hour
When I say
Two more weeks
My foot is in the door, yeah
I can't sleep in the wake of Saturday
Saturday
When these open doors were open-ended
Saturday
When these open doors were open-ended
Pete and I attacked the laws of Astoria
With promise and prescision
And a mess of youthful innocence
And I read about the afterlife
But I never really lived more than an hour (more than an hour)
When I say
Two more weeks
My foot is in the door, yeah
I can't sleep in the wake of Saturday
Saturday
When these open doors were open-ended
Saturday
When these open doors were open-ended
And I read about the afterlife
But I never really lived
And I read about the afterlife
But I never really lived
Two more weeks
My foot is in the door
Me and Pete
In the wake of Saturday
Saturday
When these open doors were open-ended
Saturday
When these open doors were open-ended
Saturday, Saturday
“Me and Peeete, in the wake of Saturday…”
I love that line. Rarely you hear lyrics that name drop a fellow bandmate/homie from the singer’s perspective. Always thought that was really cool.
Another example is from Blink 182
“And do you think it is right, for Tom to spend another night writing songs about all the people he thinks are gay?”
Patrick sings, but Pete writes the lyrics...
@@FirstnameLastname-yc2mt patrick wrote all of tttyg apart from 1-2 songs lol
Interesting you mention Pete writing the songs, the original line was “Pat and I” however Patrick doesn’t like being called Pat which also influenced the change.
"If you can't see I am Clancy, prodigal son done running come up with Josh Dun wanted dead or alive..." -TøP
2005 Pete is a little guy with a lot of bottled up anger.
Also, @ fall out boy make us an album where it's just pete screaming every song from Folie with no instruments just rage
I would like to hear that
+Claire Cholette this is actually 2003 Pete but,
+Mikey Cholette that's weird. When I scream the neighbors come out of their houses and scream at me. Prolly 'cause I interrupted them masturbating.
AND I'VE GOT A LOT OF FRIENDS WHO LIKE CLASSIC CAAAAAARS
id listen to that
I love pete screams
they give me life
I read that in the weirdest voice why
Do they bring you to life?
Hehe
Lol your profile name.
Ram875 thanks fam
yeah i like it too
gotta love 2003 fall out boy
My favorite Fall Out Boy!
Absolutely
Yeah
Indeed

I feel sad whenever I listen to this - they end every show with this and it literally made me cry when I saw them play it. You know it's over and this song is when your post-concert depression begins.
i cant even talk about irvine without a hint of sadness
Oh god u made me remind it T_T
What show?
Shows that are postponed FUCK they hurt
Yanyan obelo
I feel your pain and I agree, I got post-concert depression for a few weeks after monumentour, that was the best day of my life😞

Hey i'm Lottie ; ; PETERICK AGHHHHH
More importantly: THE SONG IS SELF AWARE
songs about Patrick's graduation (he was 18 and graduating highschool) and him and Pete were writing the lyrics
Mizuki Riley I remember Patrick saying in one interview it was about a different Pete, not Pete Wentz.
@@EllenDaybow Actually Pete wrote the song and the lyric was "Patrick" but Patrick thought it would be weird singing his own name so they changed it to Pete
I LAUGHED SO HARD I CRIED WHEN PETE HAD HIS FINGER GUN
+Megan White SAME
+Megan White i craked up when he almost hit patrick with the micerhphone stand Patrick looked terrifyed! XD

"2 more weeks, my foot is in the door". I remember listening to this song when I was recovering from a broken ankle. Couldn't wait to get off those crutches.

YOU LIKE DAN AND PHIL AND FALL OUT BOY BE MY FRIend plz
Born to be a teenage fall out boy fan in 2001 Chicago, forced to be born in 2007 in the middle of nowwhere
This is so real
REAL
yeah
Still cool
being 13 in 2007 in the middle of nowhere was pretty nice too. we were so cringe lol
Thinking back to my 13 year old self, stuck in dysfunctional suburbia land, watching this video and wondering if I'll ever go to places like this or ever go anywhere. Now I live in Chicago, and my boyfriend just surprised me with Fall Out Boy's show at the Metro this past week. I fucking love this band
Anytime Fall Out Boy plays this song live, I just kind of cry because it has always been my favorite :)
My favourite lyric is 'Me and PEEEEETE'
I ship it

+Kristy Marshall Ha ha.😄

Generic TH-camr OMG
2:11 - 2:47 I was 15, now I'm 27, still goosebumps.
im 15 now🤣
I wish Big Time Rush covered this song and played live every last song like Fall Out Boy did
You are 32 now
@mrbobakaseancronin3935 big time rush mentioned 🗣🗣🗣
can you hear me crying over fall out boy i am so proud of them oh my goOdneSs GRAcioUs
The fact this instantly took me to when I was a kid/teen and Saturday was coming after a week of school, magic was in the air back in those days.
Hell yeah
Even though I secretly owned this CD as a teenager the lyrics never really clicked. I'm 30 now and every song is bringing me back while also making more sense than ever.
Thnks Fall Out Boy. I never thought this would happen.
Oh and get the CD guys. You'll see some song credits that will blow your mind. Hahaha
Rebecca Black : Friday, Friday, gotta get down on Friday
Patrick : SAT-URR-DAYY!
Saturday is better
+• KNBauerr • duh
Fuck you bitches, Sunday!
+CalTheChameleon No, that's too close to Monday!
Ok then, Thursday!
Fall Out Boy holds so many memories, and has connected me into the best friendship I ever had. They got me into Rock and Metal Music, and now all I listen to is Alternative, Rock, Metal, Screamo, you name it as long as it's some type of rock. I don't think I would have lasted much longer if FOB hadn't come around, and like I said, I now have a lifelong friend (hopefully).
Well it's Saturday and i'm rocking out to this song again!
discovering fall out boy about 7 years ago was one of the best things to ever happen to my life.
Patrick's voice was so much lighter back then, it scares me. 😧
Angel Marie Confidence and over a decade of practice including a solo career has made it stronger.
+AltFreak25 and he was only 18 here!!
Bailey Baldwin He was the youngest in the band when they first started out.
+AltFreak25 Joe's younger than Patrick .-.
***** Thanks!
3:17-3:22 when you can't afford a prop gun so you just say "f*ck it" and use finger guns instead
and still Patrick stays in character the entire time... even though it was "death by imagination"
Wait, never mind! I do get it! Patrick was a detective obsessed with catching the killer known as the queen of hearts. But the killer was he himself. Kind of like the split personality of Tyler Durden. So when Pete killed Patrick, he also killed himself. Still dont know what it has to do with the lyrics though.
Like at the end of save rock and roll! Pete says that they’re soul mates and couldn’t exist without each other! 😍
Bold of you to assume that any fob video has a connection w the lyrics
It's just how it be then
Yes, i thought the same. Especially when they show us Pete and Patrick one after another very quickly. And what about lyrics? They always have videos not much connected to lyrics))
Fall Out Boy's mainstream infancy was something that will never be witnessed again.
Lol what does this even mean?
I was in 1st year high school when i stumbled upon this. I cried so hard when I heard this live this Dec 2023. Full circle moment.
Pete Screaming. ;~; I miss the old days when they were younger. :c
Me too but no more of that :((
+Kiro Uchiha sadly :c

Adorable then, adorable now. THEY ARE SO AMAZING HOLY CRAP
Same concept with your profile pic tbh
The very first song I ever heard by them, I remember blaring this every morning on my TV because of On Demand hahaha. Still my favorite song of all time by them. Petes part still gives me chills, I wish he would scream more haha.
AWWWWW FETUS FOB!!!!!!!!
the fetus is intense (like early panic!s fringe game)
annaterpillar I KNOW!!! LIKE WHEN BRENDON HAD CRAPPY HAIR AND EYELINER IT WAS LIKE Panic! At The Fetus.
I was definitely panicking with the fetus
annaterpillar HAHA The old Panic! makes me cringe a bit but I LOVE IT ANYWAY OHHHOHHOHOHHHOOH WHERE WILL YOU BE WAKING OUT TOMMOROW MORNING OHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHO OUT THE BACK DOOR GOD DAM BUT I LOVE IT ANYWAY!!!!
i think they went through an emo phase because pete went through one and they all god-worshipped pete (who was the lord and saviour of the emos)
So that's what Patrick looks like without a hat!
+Manuel Sosa look up how he looked during soul punk
+Hamsterdance 12 don't even mention that lmao
But Soul Punk was AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Fedoraless Patrick of the Youngblood chronicles is terrifying
Gosh man. It’s been like I don’t know 20 years almost? Thanks!
Loved them when i was like 7 when i heard thnks fr th mmrs and i can't believe i found them again love their new songs and their old songs so much I'm 13 now
Exactly the same case here! O_O
Same here exept im a little older
Im 14 now
Same here!
@@yasminparisa what about now
All of F.O.B's songs bring back so many memories. It's an incredibly nostalgic feeling, like I'm being reminded of everything I've forgotten. There's not a single record they've released that I haven't loved. Especially the songs on Take This To Your Grave & Folie a Deux. They really don't get enough credit and praise for those.
Man oh man, I was five years old when this came out. I remember my brother would listen to this nonstop. Now he’s 29, man when millennials were teenagers. They must of felt a different type of vibe.
Before I listened to Fall Out Boy, Saturday was just a day of the week.
So, apparently, this video is about Pete being a serial killer and whenever he kills someone, he drops a queen of hearts on the victim.
Patrck, on the other hand, is a detective and he's trying to find and arrest Pete. At 2:28 you can see Pete and Patrick in the same room. This scene hints that Pete and Patrick is the same person. Also, at 2:58, when Patrick hits his hand on the wheel, Pete hurts too. Finally, Pete finds Patrick and kills him, but Pete and Patrick is the same person, so Pete dies as well.
Clever, well done Fall Out Boy.
Thnks for the explication.
I fangirled so hard when pete started screaming😂😂😂 I’m too obsessed with him. I think I have a problem. It’s not one I care to fix though😂
I love how Pete has the haircut he now has in this video. I bet he didn't want his hair to be like that in the video but now he likes it, I assume he like it.
so they were just amazing right out the gate. cool

I love Fall Out Boy.
This is the early 2000s put into one song
I might be wrong but i get the feeling of growing up and leaving the nest when it comes to this song. 😊❤
I'll never get tired of this.
It's a tuesday and I'm watching this #YOLO
Now it's Saturday. Enjoy.
Haha, thank you :P
+SorchaCat14 now I'm back here. Thank YOU.
Don't you mean Thanks Pete? ;)
+SorchaCat14 yes
28 years old and this shit gives me chills like when i was 10
This is the most depressing song because when you hear it at a show you know the show is over 😢😢
Still waiting a HD version of this video!
fr I gotta see Pat’s sideburns in detail for… reasons 😂
THIS IS GOLD, 10 YEARS LATER AND I STILL LOVE IT AS MUCH AS I DID BACK THEN
My favorite song from this album by far
When I was a new fan, i listen to this song and I was like "Wow. Chill out, Pete." And then I realize that scream of Pete is precious
this song is pure nostalgia 💜
Phew, glad I came into FOB with "Thnks fr the Mmrs" and "This Ain't a Scene" because I don't think I would've given those records a chance if I heard this first.
LaRaikaa same
Wish Pete still screamed in songs.
*****
Yeah but nothing like in the older albums.
Same.
hi, i come from the future , you will miss it more later
We all do
"Sometimes The Person You Take A Bullet For Is Behind The Trigger" GOD DAMMIT PETE
Used to listen to this song on my grandparents tv with on demand before middle school each friday morning.
When they played this song at When we were young I could not go crazy on the breakdown because how tired my body was.
I was in high school when this was new. I am 30 now and it is still here and it still sounds fresh.
Love Patrick's little mini-freak out in the background when he finds the first body!
One of their most underrated songs
This will always be my favorite FOB song.
+Neat Tentz SO MANY PHANDOM
Two more weeks MY FOOT IS IN THE DOOOR
Memories huh? So much fun back in the day!
MCR
***** although they have changed and omfg I love them so much still there new stuff is just different
I listen to this every Saturday. One of my favorite FOB songs on my favorite day of the week makes me happy!
It's been so long since I've listened to this song that I totally forgot that Pete screams in this lol. I literally yelled out oh my God and replayed that part like 6 times. Still makes my heart race.
Happy 20 years, Take This To Your Grave!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
this song has been on repeat in my head for weeks
The fact that he mentions Pete in the song is great too😁 God that screaming was everything
"Me and Pete, in the wake of Saturday"
--------Peterick
This is still my JAM!!!
OMFG Patrick Stump is sweating so bad, poor guy. I love this song and this video it is the beginning of the most amazing band that helped me through my teenager years. With all the bullying I suffered, but thanks to this song. It helped me to beat my fears and beat the bullies from my youth. I LOVE YOU FALL OUT BOY
this is where success always starts, never give up xx
2:25-2:46 holy crap I mostly listen to music on Pandora so I don't watch many videos but daaaaang I would've never expected that dude to do the screaming part xD (I'm also new to FOB) but that's sick! It's my favorite part of the song! Can't stop replaying that part lol
I liked and favorited this while the ad was loading before even watching it because I already knew it was gonna be sick
Two more weeks, my foot is in the door
I'm going on a big trip in two weeks and today happens to be Saturday
Excuse me while I listen to this song for the rest of the day.
how does such a little man scream so MUCH and so LOUD???????????
i don't even know if you're talking about pete or patrick tbh
Pete, he is the one that screams most of the time in their music
Bri Castro What about Frank Iero?
Frank Iero isn't in FOB what do you mean?
Bri Castro I know he isn't but, Frank is little and can scream very loud.
me? binge watching fall out boy videos? ha don't be ridiculous
Why am I watching old Fall Out Boy videos at midnight when I have school tomorrow?
Because Fall Out Boy is better than school

+Fangirl How can you have school the next day if it's a Saturday?
+Daniel Bates That was a month ago. And also timezones.
These dude have been with me through good and bad.
Pete screaming is my religion. What other FOB songs does he scream in?
He screams in The Carpal Tunnel Of Love, too
Franki cimino carpal tunnel of love is one of the best screaming moments of pete
I know he doesn't really scream in 20 Dollar Nosebleed but he reads his emo-ass poem and it's golden

Andy's a Queen
Patrick... It's illegal to be that adorable in America...
Wow I miss this. They were so different. #FOB I remember watching this in middle school about ten years ago or so.
I am so confused by the hardcore dancing in this video but I'm here for it 🤣
I miss this Fall Out Boy.
I feel
You don't like their new music?
+Jenni Liz not as much
Okay, because real fans like all of their music regardless of the changes.
That's not what real fans are. You can't force yourself and/or others to like something you don't like. Real fans are the people who keep their own opinions, but don't criticize the band for changing.
Pete’s vocals:
AND I READ
BUT I NEVER REALLY LIVED
AND I READ
BUT I NEVER REALLY LIVED

Pete’s scream is my spirit animal.
Fall Out Boy is one of those bands that actually puts soul into the music. Bands nowadays just pick a set of lyrics from some random writer. It's songs like this that stick with you.
