When India and China started using coal, their life expectancy sky rocketed. Coal has no effect on human health. According to WHO, the only type of pollution that kills is indoor pollution from burning wood and dung to cook. People do this because they don't have access to clean sources of energy like coal.

The coal industry still has an important role in the economy and to keep people in jobs. The problem is the scale in which it is burned which causes so much pollution. Coal-fired power stations are the biggest users of coal, they ought to gradually change to solar or wind power generation. Burning a little coal at home in the countryside won't do much harm.

The best way to deal with climate change is to adapt. Humans have been doing this for ever.
Why not because soon after WW3 starts and the MAD option is used any worries about pollution is 100 % irrelevant ...
Nuclear winter will require coal fire somewhere😃
ww3 will only happen if trump comes back
