IMO it's not awesome Shinigami characters, or cool fights w/ the Bounto and Espada that made Bleach so great. It's the underlying Ichigo/Rukia love story which captured the hearts of millions of Bleach fans around the world :D P.S. my apologies to Renji and Orihime fans :/
