Fun fact: you can now solo fallen with spawning towers because of merc base, idk if it was possible before but if it was merc base still makes it a lot easier
u can solo it with merc base only and no supports
i tot u can do it on moonbase with only mili bases lol

The sad thing is you could of won with spawn towers only but since the new fallen mode rework is here its probably not possible anymore which sucks
It's one of the best Towers for a REASON. It's a Lvl 150 Spawner Unit so the grind needs to be worth It.
True. Pretty hefty lvl grind to get it tbh, but well worth it.

The one main thing I would say about Mercenary base, is it isn't exactly "idiot proof." Essentially, if you suck at using it, it sucks in return. But, overall, it is pretty op for a spawner tower, especially due to the airdrop ability and the unit diversity. (Just like elf camp.) You could probably clutch a lot of runs with it.
20% dmg buff alone makes it op, void reaver can barely get half way in a duo with that extra dmg

so basically, the field medic is team fortress 2 medic because it provides shield for his fellas and heals them

Its better to get 2 since it can give all riots 2x health

This tower is a great tower, you can deal up to 30k damage if you use it correctly. 2 medics + 7 riot guards in solo will do 30k damage to enemies. A riot guard has 2.25k hp and with a medic it gets about 4.5k hp, so having 7 riot guards with 4.5k hp each will make the riot guards able to tank 30k hp, easily beating many bosses in the game and helping a lot.
some people dont acknowledge that the field medic works for other units so I’m not sure if the medic can heal a military base when it directly rams into a enemy who has higher hp but it’ll prob most likely heal it when it rammed into smthin and lost hp but it’s also gonna be good for units from crook boss and elf camp etc.
Can it heal execution skeletons cyz if thats the case im gonna do something

in my opinion it is a low a-tier tower because of how hard it is to put in a load out and the placement limit in quad games but that 20 percent damage buff is good in quad

edit: it seems to be a great tower, and it also won't be likely to get nerfs

Tip do 2 riot guards on each one then do one field medic on all
u only need 1 or 2 field medics total any more is a waste of a slot
better thing to do is 7 riot guards and 2 field medics, can deal up to 30k damage at once

why getting a demoman... when you can just place a lv 2 merc base with grenadiers, that not only deal more damage, but they're also better because they spawn pretty quickly. AND IT'S ALSO CHEAPER
Every starter tower alr get outclassed by something, demo was outclassed by rocketeer and mortar before mercenary base
because merc base is locked behind $16/lvl 150

And your argument of it being from real life is pointless cause you could say that about anything being copied. If you compare the towers side by side they both are similar. Both have riot shields both have rifle men. Both have explosives. They took tdx's tower and changed 50% of it. It still looks alot like the barracks from tdx.
