How to Make Crochet Corset | Beginner to Intermediate | Free Pattern ╰(*°▽°*)╯

  • hi everyone!
it's been a while and I'm here today to share a free pattern of my crochet corset
it's a pretty simple one that can fit to a lot of my outfit so I thought it would be the same for you all :)
here's the written pattern for an s to m sizing, feel free to email me if you have any question for sizing up or down (●'◡'●)
sc = single crochet ch = chain
inc = increase dec = decrease
make a 34 chain and then
1 : sc all the way
2 : sc till last 2 and dec
    3 : 3sc and cast off, skip 2sc, (6sc cast off, skip 2sc) X3, 4sc
    4 : 4sc,2ch,(6sc, 2ch) X3, 1sc, dec
5 : sc all the way
6 :sc till last 2 and dec
    7-12 : repeat row 5 & 6 X3
    13-15: sc all the way
16 : sc till last 2 and dec
    17-21: sc all the way
22 : sc till last 2 and dec
(sc till the desired length, for me is 76 row of sc)
finishing off the last 22 row 9:36
    for the straps
I crochet 6sc straight to the corset on the marked area and sc till desired length and do the exact same thing on the other strap and sew it with the same yarn
    for the lacing
i use a yarn to lace my corset up to measure and just made a chain into the same length as he yarn used and single crochet all the way and tie off
    for dyeing
i use 3 tbsp instant coffee and just enough warm water to cover the corset and leave it at least 4 hour
when dyeing you need to be careful with the yarn material that you used since you can melt a polyester yarn if your water it too hot
and natural material takes on colour easier (example: cotton, linen, flax) and needs less time soaking

Hope you will. I really enjoyed the tutorial! I am currently making a forest green one. I am just at the end of making it and I'm increasing. I've messed up like 5 or 6 times. LOL The joys of undoing your work!
Struggling with the increases, but I will get there. I just got a little confused by the instructions at the end. Will finish it soon...

i recommend making an I-cord instead of just a chain for the lacing, its much sturdier or buy a ribbon or something just so the lacing doesnt break!

    • @plumpomo

    • @plumpomo
      @plumpomo  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

for the start i only decreased on the second end until i create the shape of the panel i wanted before just single crochet till it reach around my back and i start to decrease on the start instead of the end to mirror the pattern , so you do only decrease on one side so the other side is flat.

May I ask how I can make the pattern in a medium/large for my daughter? @plumpomo

    • @plumpomo
      @plumpomo  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

you can do that by adding an eyelet hole and making the back part longer. That is also why I gave the pattern based on measurements in centimeters, since I know standardized sizing won't do the trick.
All of these instructions are included in the video and only require you to follow them based on your desired length for the corset.
i hope that helps let me k now if you still have questions (❁´◡`❁)

@plumpomo thank you so much for the answer. I truly appreciate it. I decided to continue and do a test pattern as I had already erroneously made it very small 🤭 but your tutorial is excellent.
