About Sam Ryder
In 2020, as the world went into lockdown, Sam Ryder uploaded the first of his now infamous covers that quickly caught the attention of some famous fans (think Elton John) with compilations appearing on The Ellen Show & BBC's Newsbeat. As the content kept coming, so did the fans, amassing 10 million on socials by the end of the year. Fast forward to 2021 and Sam was crowned as TikTok's most popular UK artist account for the second year in a row.
In 2021, Sam released his 5-song EP 'The Sun's Gonna Rise' including track 'Whirlwind' that describes Sam’s journey - spending much of his adult life writing and performing in bands, living in Hawaii and owning a vegan coffee shop; before he decided to pursue his dream of becoming a solo artist.
Sam's first show in London sold out in under 10 minutes, nearly as quickly as his first full UK tour. Ready to make his first live foray into Europe and beyond, world domination in 2022 might not be a stretch too far for this incredible talent.

We lost a daughter and granddaughter to cancer just before Xmas. Went to see Sam in Cambridge. I spoke to him in the queue and he gave me a hug and was really kind I think he senses emotions. What an amazing singer and person. Yes he may well be an angel in disguise
