My dad got me the game as a gift when I was 7 or 8, and I had so much trouble finishing the marathon mode. But yesterday, I decided to give it a go for the first time in like 5+ years - and ultimately finished it. My run was nothing compared to yours though. Perfect job!
And I thought that overcoming Level 20 with a level increase was easy, and you come to show me a perfect run, I admire you for your great talent in the game, at the same time I thank you for the nostalgia ^^
50 B2B Tetrises at level 20 = 1200000 Subtract 8000 for the first Tetris not being B2B = 1192000 Difference = 46000, which is from TSMZs (2000) and TSZs (8000). fun fact: a B2B Tetris at level (X+1) in this game scores the same as a Tetris at level X in NES
I played the endless mode for like an hour nonstop and got to level 130 and the like counter just stays at 999 and doesn't go any further. I had 3451394 points exactly. Also the speed stays the same after level 20 so it's an endurance test
My personal best is now somewhere around 1.3 million. It isn't a perfect run, but I tried throwing in some extra t-spin singles and doubles while still using mostly tetrises. Super difficult. That being said, this 1.2 million is impressive. Taking 50 tetrises in a row is a dream run for sure 😀👍
Great attempt. Depending on what you're aiming for, but perfect run to me is getting in as much Tspin doubles and triples, only then tetris lines to deplete the blocks back down. Only way to get the highest score.
6 years too late but It would give more points if you started the game with a triple. That way you have the last Tetris starting from 199 lines and ends on 203 lines instead of 200.

he doesn't have to be capable of the same feat in order to criticize it. its like watching a movie and thinking "oh wow, why (is it this way/did they not do this/why didn't character x do y/ect.)"

Shuey187 actually, 20G on Tetris DS is surprisingly easy due to the fact you can delay by rotating as much as you want
TGLP PL I think he meant getting a perfect run, not playing on level 20.
I think it's pretty easy, I maxed out the line counter once (999 lines)

There are not enough consistent perfect clear strategies and setups to even warrant trying to attempt such a feat.
Theres a PC strat that works 74% of the time.
