@@SuperDrei30 I'm glad to see her doing well in this song. This and the Saving All My Love for You made me stand up and listen. But the rest of her performances are lacking. I think there are songs good for her and then there are others that are just not there or she's still inconsistent -- amazing in some, lacking in others. She has to select songs well. She doesn't have to be capable of singing all types of songs. That's impossible. There's a reason most singers in the US specialize in a genre. You have to protect her brand (her) by her knowing how to pick the right song choices that suits her.
@@denniszenanywhere I don't think she really selects the songs. She does 2-3 hrs live streams where she sings songs requested by the viewers in the chat. This clip came from one of those streams. You can see she's actually reading the lyrics off screen at times.
What I like about Gigi is the accuracy of her notes, no segueing, whatsoever. Maybe it's not really her thing to make riffs and runs as she is not an RnB artist, but she is more of a pop-jazz singer, I suppose. Love the raspiness of her voice. It's edgy.❤

Im quite inpressed that these are actually songs that fit her voice more. Last time i listened tonher shes not a fave of mine but after this performance im an automatic fan hahaha all notes are on point and she did not sound straining. I also feel she has soul thats this song fits her perfectly.
