EXO (2012)debuted before BTS(2013). EXO are BTS’s senior. EXO broke so much of records and they were respected by so many groups in the industry. BTS respects them so much and they are friends with them as well. They even covered some EXO songs before. When BTS rose to fame EXO were really proud of them as well. They are really good friends. Baekhyun and V are the members who puts the most eyeliner/eye makeup in their respective group. That is why fans branded them as Mother and Son. Both groups are legends and are great in their own ways.

I can still remember how V waited at the backstage while exo are still performing to take a selca with his mother baekhyuniee. Good old days, unlike now, everything got so complicated specially the fan war that suddenly put place in between these two fandoms that i didn’t even realize until i woke up one morning.
Kai and Jimin are friends from their debut days..V and Baekhyun are also good friends..I loved the way V, Jungkook and Jimin expressed about their favorite idol from EXO is D.O. during an old interview..Is anyone have seen the clip were Suga was congratulating D.O. for his achievement ? That was so great to watch.But i feel all time fanboy of D.O. is Jin...I was so shocked when i saw him on Do Kyungsoo's (D.O) movie premier...i just love thier combo so much they both are my happy pills from different group so you can imagine my happiness...

Actually, Baekhyun, Daehyun and Taehyung were called the mom, dad and son respectively is due to how strong their eyeliner game was during their earlier days and similarity of their names. I'm pretty sure this started in late 2013.
I'm both exo-l and army so it's really hard and broke my heart to see both fandom always hating on each other. At first they're really friendly and supporting each other but now all I see is that they're always comparing these two amazing groups and keeps on throwing the groups achievement saying this group are the best etc. when these groups are amazing in their own ways
The competition is totally between the fandoms, and I have no idea what started it, but it is time for it to stop. EXO doesn't care about awards or views/sales anymore. They have literally achieved the fame that they set out to achieve and just want to enjoy their music, their fans, and each other. I am relatively certain that BTS is the same way. They have both been in the game for so long, and having the fans at each others throats every time there is any award in the air....UGH! I wish the immature members of each fandom would grow up already. There is absolutely no reason to hate each other, and there is certainly no reason to have either group. They are both wonderful artists that have done a LOT for the Kpop industry and have left their indelible mark on the world!! I stan EXO, but I am proud of both groups, and I loved their interactions (we don't see them much anymore since EXO don't attend award shows anymore...thanks MAMA 2017....

Of course kpop idol gonna become a friend when they always meet each other during korean awards like year end shows or in other shows. If they have the same day of comeback maybe they meet behind the music shows. Because EXO their senior. Like in kpop they have a tradition for junior to say hi or great their senior for manner even though now some kpop idol not really practice that anymore that is the reason they get critized for rude manner. Not like previous idol. They have been teaching about that matters. Some kpop idol did collab like during year end shows or awards show actually. Like they dance and singing together.

I'm a solid Army but honestly I dont find anything to be mad or hateful to other groups (for example EXO), really. They are just as great as them and they are friends in real life and also they are not scared to show it on cameras but other "fans" just cant accept the fact. They are just also like BTS reaching their dreams and goals and you cant deny their talents and skills too. Its just that I can connect and relate to BTS more on like their values/beliefs/msgs/lyrics/campaign, how they changed my life and more many ways but i cant deny that they are all great and I love all of them.

I'm an army but I don't think we should ever hate on exo or other groups cuz they are also really talented and I also think even the artists would appreciate us comparing them and the fanwars because they are also friends with each other so they should never feel awkward with each other cuz we should know they see all the tweets and the comments. So I think we should put a stop on these fanwars and come to a common solution

The older groups like Super Junior and Shinee are also supportive of EXO and newer groups. Those from SM Entertainment have some great friendships. They travel together: Suho and Min Ho; form new groups: Super M which is made from EXO, Shinee, NCT. There’s plenty of fans and music and awards to go around. After winning one award, Suho called out by name other groups which he praised.
EXO members always nice to BTS since beginning even BTS members said they respect EXO when they just debut.
