Hi Yas, unfortunately I don't have the scores because I play the piano using "the rules of the piano accompaniment" this means that I only use the chords as a reference. With the chords I create a base by improvising, I try different improvisations and then I choose the one that I think is most suitable. I learned this method over the years because, especially when there was no internet, it was very difficult to find the scores. In desperation at not being able to find the scores of the songs that interested me, I began to learn how to improvise on chords to accompany a singer, this is the method used for example by piano bar pianists, useful when a person wants to sing a song that you don't have you ever played in your life, in this case you just need to have the chords as a reference and you can accompany the singer. With time and experience you can choose whether to make a simple accompaniment or a more elaborate one also based on the difficulty of the song. If you are interested in using this method of improvisation, I have created some theory videos, you can find them on the channel, they have a green background, you can enable the translation into your language. They are not complete but you might find them interesting if you think you want to learn to play the piano this way. I hope my answer was helpful to you!😉
Hello dear friend, unfortunately this song is complicated for beginners. The rhythm is fast and the musical scale is altered and uses many black keys. But it is also true that by doing difficult things you learn better. Let me give you some advice. Don't concentrate on thinking about which individual piano keys you need to play. What you have to learn to do, if you want to learn to accompany a singer on the piano, is to learn to improvise on chords. You don't have to think about the individual keys to press but about the chord to be played at that moment and give it a rhythm appropriate to your way of playing. I have uploaded on channel 4 theory videos on piano accompaniment, with many examples, which can be very useful for you to understand how to get started. Videos have a green background and you can put the subtitles and the Spanish translation. The first video "Theory - How I Play Piano Accompaniment" will make you understand the suitable chord positions for the piano accompaniment. When you download the position of the chords from the internet... you will always find diagrams called "fundamental position of the chord"... actually you hardly ever play chords in fundamental position!!!. The other 3 videos "Theory - How I Interpret the Chords to Accompany a Singer" are more advanced. In the piano accompaniment , piano scores are not used but texts and chords are used, like those found in guitarists' songbooks, so it is important to understand how to work on chords. In these 3 advanced videos I explain the chords from C2 to C13 by giving examples. To play HOY you don't need to know all these chords... I advise you to follow them anyway because I have condensed years of experience into a few minutes and they will be useful to you. The 3 videos are based on the song "White Christmas" but they are not a White Christmas Step by Step tutorial, I stop on each chord and explain in general how to play it If you can understand the concept of improvisation you won't need to slow down Hoy's TH-cam video to understand the notes because what will interest you will be the chord.... then you will decide how to play. It will take time to learn how to quickly switch from one chord to another…but then it will happen naturally. Then if you have any questions to ask... I'm here!!!😉
