I hated that damn pump hose so damn much. We did residential block walls for communities and I was always manning the pump moving it around 4 clamps long! All day in this Vegas heat.
We used to put tide laundry sope in ours when we pumped leancrete/grout fill made it pump way better. My guess is the foam dose the same thing keeps the mix flowing and helps keep the sand from settling out. Keeps everything in suspension. That first truck looked way to dry I'm surprised it went through as well as it did. Those lean mixes like that are always a balancing act between to wet and not wet enough.
Laundry/dish soap and plasticizer are almost the same chemical makeup. It works by reducing the molecular surface tension and creating a higher slump without introducing more water, which of course reduces the ultimate strength of the concrete.
@@MuddyfeetConcretePumping - We are up in Central Oregon, and we pour in the snow... as long as it's over 25 degrees. I dispatch volumetric trucks. I have not been much in the field, but do very much love watching these videos, so I can learn how its like in the field. Too many times my drivers will say that the pump messed up and its pouring slow.. Mostly with line pumps... Keep up the good work...
@@MuddyfeetConcretePumping no, I'm still a green operator up in Canada. Almost looked like aguila they way it looked before/after the drink, dont think it's the same, never heard it called foam
It’s designed to be added to cement and water only, you pump it into the back with compressed air! It’s a great product but putting any form or fines in you mix is what made it not pump
As Fellow Concrete line pumper Hooking up to a pipe is a whole different ball game and Pressure guge is key Once that Needle jumps automatically off

I’ve heard of people using Dawn.

I thought they were making CLC Cellular lightweight Concrete , but , I guess they are using it as a suspension lubricant? was it 5 gallons to 5 yards?
would the trailerpump not pump the same size of rock as the boom truck
It will depending on the size of hose you are using
Hahahahaha 🤣 I said it out loud at the same time. WHAT ON EARTH ARE THEY CUTTING DOWN THERE.
From the land down under 🇦🇺
Hey! Thanks for watching.
Lobe the hats.
Question.. what kind of fitting are you using to attach the hose to the PVC pipe?
Sergio Ramos it’s a 3” Hd weld on to make threads.

Quick question, do you do lintels as well or just flooring ?
Carlos Yael what are lintels?
Pumping concrete into the walls
Carlos Yael we do some icf walls ever now and then. Sometimes block walls. But not very often.
@@6ixyael A lintel is a horizontal support put over a door or window opening. Pumping concrete into wall cores is grouting with a non shrinking mix.

You guys ever figure out what the foam was?
No, it was marked on the barrel but I haven’t looked into it. Do you know anything about it?

And pvc usually doesn’t work
Love me some Sunday mud to play in
Tom Roe we are supposed to be getting a few days of it.

I would have cut the PVC with a sawzall, and not breathed in the fumes from the saw.
It did seem like a different way of doing things
Should have added 100
