Will Geer and Ellen Corby, were two of the best actors ever. I loved them both. They were the best Grandparents. Their on screen relationship was so strong and so enduring. Will and Ellen were both Veteran Actors of the stage and screen and because of this they were naturals and their characters were just who they really were in real life. Who they were on screen, is who they were off screen, in their personalities.
Imagine somebody pitching this ideal of a show on modern day tv executives today,,wouldn’t even get past one sentence before being turned down for another show degrading another human being for entertainment family values,,
