    Definitely the right man for the job. Hopes Houston gives him the time he needs. Just like BV is now on year 3. Doing it right, to last long, takes a while

    I think I'd rather watch Coach Fritz do a presser after a loss than Holgy after a win. Class act and respectful players and press. Nice to have some transparency for a change. GO COOGS! Let's get better next week.❤

      Their offense sure is. I see no way for them to move the ball and sustain a drive vs that sooner defense. If they score on offense it'll have to come from a major busted assignment or a db tripping or something.

    Give Fritz time, it’s going to be rough this year and we have to accept that. Dana did nothing for the team, we never should have gave him that much money it made him lazy. Fritz has without a doubt done good with recruiting, he has put in the work that Dana would never do. I do think that we could have done better on offense but without an O line or a decent QB we can’t do much. Right now Fritz is building culture, we need to give him about 2-3 years to really build a team that we can remember and be proud of.

    Just get better everyday / week and let the record stand come December 2024. I don’t expect much from this team but at least go out and not beat yourselves…. UNLV came into the cage and slapped the Coogs around with ease…. Everyone is to blame in the loss! Keep fighting and get better. Go to Norman and play well- no one expects you to win at Norman so just try to score points and get off the field on 3rd down! \

    If you continue to stick with Donovan Smith you will continue to go down!👎 There is a reason why he was Texas Tech’s 3rd string QB even after he got all of the coaching staff’s total coaching and attention for two straight years! Now, he got all of the this coaching staff’s, as well as Holgorsen’s coaching staff’s complete coaching and support, but what has he accomplished but a 4-13 record as a starter? Sometimes you simply have to admit the guy with the size, height, and eye-catching physical status is simply a dud when it comes to live action! You don’t win football games with looks! You win with what you can do on the field! These coaches must realize this or else they are going to fail majorly with this guy “That has the size and build that the NFL is looking for!”

    Grandpa Willie must have got the tap on the shoulder from the administration after his little display at the post-game press conference when he was saying that Donovan Smith will still be the starting quarterback
    I don't think grandpa has all his wits about him.. Smith is the worst starting quarterback in D1 football.. the administration must have told him that and told him to play all three quarterbacks ..

    • @russell3784
      @russell3784 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The only one who doesn’t have his wits about him is you. U think the administration tells Sampson who to play, no. They don’t tell Willie either. I agree Smith isn’t that good and his playing time will decrease as the season continues. Grandpa as you disrespectfully call him has won quite a few games in his career. Everybody with half a football brain knew this would be a tough year because we don’t have the talent. Maybe u need to go support TCU. That way you and one of their analyst can hang out and talk about how knowledgeable you both are on the subject of football or maybe alcohol….

    • @RaunnHD
      @RaunnHD 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I 100% bet you that Smith is starting for OU for 3 quarters. I'm not Smith hater, I like him and think he's good but that was deer in headlights last game. I'm open to anything at this point and if we look at UH vs Memphis 2015 when we had our 3rd string play that game, I am 100% down to try that, we might have extreme success. We got nothing to lose this season except embarrass ourselves and our pride the way we did and that was extremely frustrating.
      Pull a page out of Saban's book, try your other QBs after Milroe got sit out after their loss in 2nd week last season to see who gives you the best chance at "winning."

    We have the worst offensive line that I have ever seen in the history of football. They made a no-name UNLV team look like the 85 Bears. Unfortunately I think we’re going to finish 0- 12 this season. We need to start paying some players in the portal city of Houston is extremely rich. Even the commentators said we need to start paying some players.

    • @texasmade2719
      @texasmade2719 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I agree. Last time I seen this at UH Football was under HC Dana Dimel and they were 0-11, 0-12, 3-7. UH almost cancelled the program or transition it to Division ll program cause no one would come to the games and they wasn't generating revenue to cover operating expenses.
      HC ART BRILES AND QB KEVIN KOLB saved the program.
      Kevin Sumlin and Case Keenum put Coogs on top
      Tom Herman and Greg Ward Sr. Got them to where they are now afterwards Major Applewhite and Derek King.

    As a Sooner fan. Why is there such a pessimistic type of approach to playing in Norman? If you aren’t overly confident then how do you expect the players to be confident? Coach has to motivate them boys. Seems like he is marching them on death row.

    Not impressed, it may have been the first game of the season for UH but it was also the first game for UNLV and the Coogs were not ready to play football last Saturday, UNLV owned our stadium. Coach Fritz was not my choice for Head Coach, he did not have the Power Conference head coaching experience that a team like the Cougars sorely needed. I sincerely hope he can find a way to get his stuff together and I'm pulling for him to show that he can coach at this level, it's not going to be easy with Oklahoma up next.
