@ACCOTTAWA NFL Quarterbacks usually have 1 to 5 seconds max to release the ball, not 6 to 8. However, Mark spends hours on the field throwing passes to recievers with normal 3, 5 and 7 step drops almost on a daily basis. He doesn't need to come in and do the exact same thing with me for another hour, although of course we do many other footwork drills that are shorter and more situational specific, resisted/assisted drops, sprint outs, bootlegs, etc..
@ACCOTTAWA Mark likes to work hard, and many times comes back to me out of shape and wants to get conditioned so when he goes out and throws100 passes one after another he has stamina. Conditioning his legs and core keeps his arm healthy as we all know when the legs get tired, throwing becomes an arm-dominant motion, which leads to injury and a host of other problems.
Wow, I guess I touched a nerve, which I told you was not the purpose. I liked the drill. This is one reason I rarely place myself on the net coaching drills. No one knows MY purpose or reasoning. You know who I am and what I have done, I have an understanding of physical and mental training, and dont mind debating anyone in a positive manner without personal shots. BTW, I have been coaching football teams and kids since 1983, so i get it. Nice facility BTW, looks like you have done well
@ACCOTTAWA i know the way he coaches he likes to condition his athletes while training them. this was probably a conditioning drill and thats why he went for 30 sec.
@dougmanification you can say what you want but his first 3 years as a starter has been good.. 2 playoff games and 8-8 isnt bad he just needs to get more consistant and less turnovers.. has better 1st 3 yr stats then most nfl quarterbacks in the league hell be elite just as Eli used to be decent back when first drafted takes time
I did this and there was a coach behind the other one saying a number so while the other coach points what direction the other one says a number on his finger and you have to watch both of them it's fun though
@ACCOTTAWA Lorne it just pissed me off. For one, I've been training Mark since high school so must be doing something right since he signed a 5-year 60 Million Dollar contract. Secondly, your comment although has value in terms of sport-specificity, lacks an understanding of physical and mental conditioning, the specific needs of the individual athlete, the time period of his training, etc.
@ACCOTTAWA I am not cocky, but admittingly a little offended. However, there are many other things worse in life and I know you probably didn't really mean to insult me so I'm over it. Best of luck.
@ACCOTTAWA Your comment although seemingly intelligent, was definately insulting and not an attempt to have a positive, constructive, discussion with a fellow professional regarding appropriate training intervals/durations for quarterbacks. Next time find out a little more about the situation before you add your negative 2 cents.
@ACCOTTAWA Last I checked marathon's take 3 to 4 hours to complete, not 30 seconds. Stick to training hockey players Goldy and quit acting like a "know it all", your making Canadian's look like assholes.
His footwork is amazing!
I'm a qb these drill r really tuff

that's fantastic footwork .

this is the same qb drill we did at Westlake High School....
BEAST!!!
i met him in lake forest, Ca before he was in SC
sanchez should work more on the deep ball cause the jets longest play on offense this year was 30 yards... coming from a jets fan
You guys act like its real easy being a QB. Always a notch Harder to be consistent at the QB play in New York land
@ACCOTTAWA i know the way he coaches he likes to condition his athletes while training them. this was probably a conditioning drill and thats why he went for 30 sec.

You are not allowed to look at the floor in this drill. Always look downfield or in this case: on your coach!
good training
where's the GQ magazine drill?
I did this and there was a coach behind the other one saying a number so while the other coach points what direction the other one says a number on his finger and you have to watch both of them it's fun though
wow he shot the camera at the end or something??
wait on NFL network they said he had a good game vs the Texans but bad footwork. It shows here he has decent footwork
FIGHT ON!

Did he hit the camera man tho?? lol
nice ending
these moves arent helpng you in football but they'll come in handy on dancing with the stars. go pats!!!
yea but does it make him accurate?
@2340warrior if you'd like to continue to be a qb, stop taking lessons from Mark Sanchez haha
r.i.p. camera man
@ACCOTTAWA There trained professionals I think they know what there doing
camera man got hit in the face lol
@ACCOTTAWA I am not cocky, but admittingly a little offended. However, there are many other things worse in life and I know you probably didn't really mean to insult me so I'm over it. Best of luck.
Nice drill, but its way too long for a quarterback. 6-8 seconds max, he is not a marathon runner

Have you changed your mind about Sanchez yet? Lol
they're not going regardless
if sanchez starts over tebow the jets aren't going to the super bowl
LOL Sanchez
Interception.
@SJMoscol fure ure pats go jets
now if only he can throw the ball better to the recievers hands and to them instead of like 20 ft ahead of them tebow will teach him
@SportzAgents lol, yeah, maybe he should go break his own nose so he can therefore be more tough, or get plastic surgery.

he should have used his skills yesterday instead of running to someone's butt
Okay sanchez, we all know you have footwork, work on your throwing perhaps? Footwork is not because the jets suck right now.
Too bad he is awful.
Sanchez is very overated. He stinks. There I said it.
JET's are trash
