The sad thing is that kids don't need "go-go juice". They have energy to run and jump and play. But the fact that she needed it shows how poor and nutrition deprived her diet was, and that she was so sluggish and fatigued is terrible for anyone but ESPECIALLY a child. Really sad, as I think we all know now.

What’s better than caffeine is music. If you had kids who always jumps, runs and plays when it’s daytime. Play some clean pop music or children’s music to help them get up and move around. Which is good exercise. Never feed them caffeine! Feed them with music.

Actually Caffeine is great for many kids with ADHD I remember the caffeine buzz would mellow me out. The reason being many kids with ADHD are not hyper because they are they have to much energy but because they lack chemical stimulation in their brain and thus are running around like a crack head looking for anything entertaining/stimulating that can act as a fix.
This is why hyper fixation is a thing you basically gave what is a person going through withdrawal a fix.
I was on Ritalin then Adderall until I had the self control required to go without it by the time I started middle school.

@@happyjohn354 in children, caffeine can raise blood pressure and interfere with sleep. It can make children less aware of being tired. It can affect their moods and make anxiety worse. On the topic of how reality tv can ruin a persons life, let's talk about Alana.
She's talked about how she's struggled to make friends because everyone who wanted to be her friend just wanted bragging rights. They also come for her because they think she's rich, when that's further from the truth.
And because of the drama in the show, and in her real life, she's retired the Honey Boo Boo name.
She's said that her and Mama June's relationship has been kind of broken. She really wants it to get better, but she doesn't know how time and effort it will take.
Idk what going to happen to Alana in the future, all i hope is that she's ok because she's clearly going through a lot.

She used eggshells that were soaked in Coke, Diet Coke, ginger ale, and water to mimic the effects of soda on teeth (I know, eggshells aren’t teeth, but they were a reasonable substitute and easily obtained!), and the results were quite clear! We didn’t think to soak any in Mountain Dew or energy drinks, but it’s easy to see how she could revamp and expand on this for her classmates now-she’s in high school now, and so many of her classmates practically mainline this crap on top of vaping like there’s no tomorrow. It gets worse. Mama June lost custody of Alana due to her substance abuse and "taste in men", so now her sister Anna(?) has custody of her. She's also dating a 20 year old, at 16. I've long since softened that position; I still think of Jersey Shore as a stupid show, but a harmless one overall. And honestly I've come to understand at least some of its appeal.
So I thought "maybe I was too hard on Honey Boo Boo as well"

You gotta love the advocates for this show, it is clearly a case of child neglect and bad family customs, and instead of being portrayed as what it is, a sad case from a southern family who are vulnerable to all kinds of ailments, both physical, and mental due to their lack of knowledge, yet they sell it as some sort of funny skit. Keep in mind this is a well renowed TV channel that mocked them and submitted them to public shaming for their expected behaviours, truly disgusting.

There's media, then there's corporate media. Remember, profit, not quality is the creed corporate media follows now. They will sacrifice principles, and people if they can get away with. Children are sacrificed on the alter of the god Entertainment, like some modern day Moloch...and yes, TLC seems to have all the worst shows I've seen. This show is arguably The Worst, but my runner-up of for the title of Worst Show Ever and a distant second mind you, is 90 Days to Wed. That was the show that made me give up on so called Reality television. At this point I just want to see how low you can go legally 😮‍💨. It seems to be seemingly terrible people preying on each other cash, infamy or a green card.

Also a point to the showing of houses. The Kardashians didn't show their actual houses when they had those big pan shots to "Name's house". I remember when "The Jenner House" was sold, so by that I mean the house they used to represent The Jenner's house was sold. Because safety issues is a thing. Sure you can probably find all their previous and current houses online, but at least they tried to make it a bit more difficult for randos to come to their houses

Idk why, but this reminds me of an episode of Masked Singer, which at first went decent but then somehow these 2 people from Toddlers & Tiaras as "The Beach Balls" (to those who dunno the show, celebrities enter the competition in costumes to hide themselves and take off the mask if they get voted out) slipped in. They had the worst voice imaginable, and were kicked out the first few minutes after their introduction as a new contender. I still remember checking the comments of a TH-cam video version of the clip, and shockingly the reviews were kinda the same as this one. Hated and loved. If you wanna learn more, then I best recommend searching around the season that added wild card singers or the video I mentioned.

This was a great retrospective about the show, I even learned some things like June's new show. There isn't enough sarcasm to express my distaste with the whole concept. I used to be a fan of the Honey Boo Boo show until learning about June linking up with her daughter's abuser. It was such a guilty pleasure watching this country white family from my state cutting up and sliding on a buttered up kitchen floor. Of course there was plenty negative about it from the exploitation to the stereotypes, but it was also so addictively hilarious every episode and I think that's such a dangerous combination for television

Honestly I think it's actually pretty messed up that there's people out there who work really hard in their life to get into television or movies whatever the case may be whether it's in acting or directing or producing or editing among many other things and while we don't know about the ones who could not get into that industry who have worked really hard to get there they worked really hard and could not get into the industry yet because a family has Southern accents and on top of that acts rather peculiar they're given a reality show. It's pretty hard to have sympathy for how their lives have turned out when they have earned so much money from being on the show in the first place and not really having to put any real effort to get there.
At the same time I do appreciate that you're pointing out how stressful it could be after the show is over at the very least even though I really wish I had those kind of stresses in my life as opposed to what stresses I do actually have, you really don't want to know what a particular family member has done to scar me for life, but anyways what I do at least appreciate about this is that at least for Alana we do get to see that she isn't just some goofy kid who has been taught incorrectly by what looks to me like ineffective parents hence why she behaves in such an oddball way which doesn't deserve her a TV show, but nevertheless as the result of that yes it must suck that she has difficulty making friends so at least for Alana I do have at least a little pity but honestly shame on the rest of them especially June.
