Thanks for the video. Just in the process of choosing between a Cali or a Marco Polo. The best bit was seeing you can do this with 3 kids!!! Can you put the bed down easily enough with the additional seat?
Hi Mike, the 5th sear has to be removed to be able to put the bed down. I have a waterproof cover for it, just in case we need to take it out without our blow-up awning being set up. Thanks for watching!
I have a California, the same colour as yours. DSG gearbox, four wheel drive etc. Looks like a nice campsite near Genoa. I'd be cautious about leaving table and chairs outside at night, they expensive and easy to steal. Lordy, Lordy, you have a lot of stuff in that van.

Would definately like to see when you camp in rain...why because its altogether awesome feeling camping in rain and specifically speaking with kids....like u have two grown up daughters......( I have one....like urs eldest) Bless you from here and keep up the good work...
Nice video. I rode down to Genoa from Zurich a few years ago with my HOG chapter. I recognize some of those roads. We took the ferry to Sicily and spent 10 days riding around the island :-)
Another lovely video. I was a bit alarmed at how far you wound out your awning before dropping the legs down. I thought it only self supported for 0.5m or so, or else that arms can get strained.

GKUK Dash Cam VW Cali Hi Glen, maticulous packing required! Although we have now bought roof bars and a roof box to make it easier! We looked at LHD California’s but for our budget the european ones tend to be more expensive and have ski-rocket mileage (300k+ km) Plus, we don’t mind a RHD as we are used to it. Also, as you probably know, the California has the side-loading door on the right-hand side so the same side as the driver in our case. This makes it easier in many ways ways with kids - the driver and the kids can get out on the safer side in Europe. Also, complex fully comprehensive insurance issues in Italy if Italian reg. Yes we just checked the manual and it says no more than 1 metre so we'd better be more careful in the future! Thanks for the heads up!
