...And come back to Utah. Y'all just drove through. There's so much more to see and do. I've literally spent months of my life exploring my home state and I don't feel like I've even scratched the surface. I'm always finding something new.
When you hit Michigan, I highly recommend that you get to the Upper Peninsula and see the Soo Locks and Tahquamenon Falls at the very least. Best if done in the fall but anytime is a good time to be in the UP.
Plus you can go to the Headlands International Dark Sky Park on the way up there to get world-famous views of the night sky. I grew up in Michigan, and I honestly think it's the coolest and most unique thing you can do in Michigan.
Michigan suggestion: Come around late June or early July and visit Beulah, Mi. It's up near the pinky of the state and has a lake that's as blue as the Caribbean. Crystal lake is right next to Lake Michigan! The views are BREATHTAKING and I absolutely LOVE going up there every summer 🧡
@@micahweiss Coming from a person who has visited Michigan and does not live there, my opinion is Mackinaw Island is the most overrated site in Michigan. I truly hope you see this comment; look invest in your business by investing in your Van. Your Van is the vehicle for your business right now at this stage. Take it in and get it professionally done. They can move the electrical to the bottom they can put in your bed THAT you KNOW you want and they can professionally get the tanks all correct. You have to have them correct for balance. So you are not spending money, you are investing in your business.
I don't know about US taxes but in the UK the improvements you do to your van which would be your primary workplace would also be tax deductable if your self employed... Splash the cash you two and make your lives easier

When you come to Ohio, be sure to check out the SE part of the state in the Hocking Hills region....I’m only about 20 minutes away and have a driveway that you can power up in and use some amenities before you start wandering the hills, trails, back roads and caves.
I just got done submitting an idea for them to visit SE OH, including Hocking, Athens and all the surrounding areas. I don’t live in that area anymore... but I’m keeping my fingers crossed they visit the area instead of focusing on bigger cities!! 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼
Good luck, you might want to plan for Alaska being at the end. "international" travel restrictions going through Canada to get there will probably not allow you till the pandemic is done with us.
Lake Superior is magnificent beyond belief. Apostle Islands were so beautiful. Lived in the midwest my entire life and had never been to the UP til this past summer. Can't wait to check out Pictured Rocks
I second this! I’m not from Maine (I’m from Boston) but I love road tripping to Maine because it really is such a beautiful state! Acadia National park and bar harbor are awesome.

Why don't you guys still increase the size of the grey water and toilet tanks, but by a less amount than you intended too. Like maybe 10 gallons instead of 15 for the grey water tank, and 10 or 15 gallons instead of 20 for the toilet tank?!

Kara and Nate, you are my favorite travel vloggers and thanks for visiting my beautiful country Philippine right before the pandemic hits. Just to let you know, you are very popular in my country.
Could you get a second removable “pee” tank? I saw that Kara lifted it out easily, so why not just buy a second removable tank? You’d have to store a full one till you were able to dump, but then you could be off grid a day or so longer. Seems easier than trying to put in a bigger tank...... Or...........just pour out the full tank into something like a jerrycan, and store that till you can dump. Seems like a no brainer!
So excited to hear about this goal.. its been a dream of mine forever! I highly recommend that when you get to Minnesota you start in Duluth and head up what us Minnesotans call the North Shore of Lake Superior! Theres so much history and scenery up here that we love to share! Good luck and can't wait to follow this new journey!!
My only request is please don’t just visit the “big cities” of that state. They are beautiful too, but we all see those on all the videos everywhere on TH-cam. I’d love to see you guys hit the small farm towns or lesser known beauties. W
I have another solution for your toilet problem. Buy another bucket part for the toilet. You will have two of those and then can store a full one in a container somewhere on the outside of the van (like an attachment on the back of the van, or a tow, or underneath in some storage.
I have an idea for a travel place in Wisconsin! The Willow River State Park has an amazing waterfall that even has a high up viewpoint where you can take great pictures! You can even go behind the waterfall! I would recommend you go to it during the summer so it isn’t frozen but wintertime it is also pretty then! You can look up what it looks like but it is so much better in person. I love you guys and good luck on your 50 states goal!
Drive your van up to Twin Lakes and camp. Down Mt Baker highway east of Bellingham WA. Twin lakes road takes you up to the top of a mountain where you can camp between 2 glacier fed lakes with 360 views and tons of trails! There is a gravel road that takes you all the way up to twin lakes!
That new bed looks like a great upgrade to your van! Getting a great night's sleep is critical to keeping happy and motivated while on the road. Sorry the water tank didn't work out. I'm planning to add an idea for you on the Form for Pennsylvania. Looking forward to more of your adventures!
I was really looking forward to Kara seeing the CA coast for the first time, maybe y'all can do that in a future video. And good luck on your adventure, I submitted some recommendations for a few midwest states. I'm from CA originally but have spent the last 8 years on and off in the midwest and I've done a few cool and very midwest things. I hope ya'll like the suggestions or at the very least find them intriguing. :)
Yes! The California coast is something you definitely need to highlight. A ghost town near death valley just isn't it. That's not what you should highlight about California. The coast from San Francisco to San Diego is where it's at.
@@AllycatlovesAG wow! It snowed kinda late in Ontario too, but we have a fair amount. Snowed over 11 inches one day last week... and some before and after that too. It’s been pretty chill though.
I’m from New Hampshire and I feel the same way. It’s so weird to me that some people are seeing snow in person for the first time, when I’ve been so exposed to it that I get upset when it doesn’t snow often in the winter. 😂
My husband and I were both born and raised in Indiana! The Covered Bridge Festival (October) and a drive through the central/southern in the fall is a MUST! The leaves, the food, the history - it’s gorgeous and so much fun!
Yea! I was worried you were going to ditch the vans. My only suggestion: Make the updates you need to make it home. Reach out to the Trent & Allie (they went from Alaska to Patagonia) Morton’s, RV Geeks & Mike at RV Adventures for assistance. There is a tremendous knowledge base out there to make the van the home of your dreams rather than a ball & chain you are dragging around the USA. AND, TO CLOSE, ONE WORD: BEDDIES!!!
When you come to Delaware.... come to Sussex County. (I mean that’s only one of the three counties.) It is the beach towns, and has the coolest exploring opportunities!!
Hi Kara and Nate, Glad to see that your travels continue! Please don’t forget to discuss at some point your internet issues and how you addressed them. I think a lot of people would appreciate your insight!
Why don’t y’all just turn each side into a Murphy bed that folds from each side onto the table? Then each side folds up onto the wall. The are super simple and cheap to build.
Fun comparison. We have a self build too. One thing to note is the heater (Espar) has a thermostat and can maintain a fixed temperature by running at different speeds.
Well, you aren't too far from Ohio and Hocking Hills State Park and region is insanely beautiful in the winter. It has some of the largest recess caves in the United States. I can provide a link to almost every waterfall in the park as well the ones most don't know about as well some other unique Geological features throughout the area.
Will he be allowed to film there ? They had trouble before in filming in parks. >>> th-cam.com/video/RHvHn9hs1MY/w-d-xo.html Seems it's against the law to film in National parks, I don't know about State Parks though.
@@joevicario9815 A federal judge recently ruled that is was unconstitutional to not allow people to film and photograph in National Parks, Forests, and Public lands. Hocking Hills is a state park, forest, and the region has a few amazing nature preserves. This ruling was specifically aimed towards youtubers, not large scale productions. The only restrictions I can find are specifically are at the nature preserves that require a permit to even visit. But the rest of the State Park and Forest are free and the campgrounds right at Old Man's cave are very affordable. So they should be fine. Ohio's tourism is worth around $44 billion a year, I don't think they want to put any hold up to that cash flow coming into the state.
Ya'll are so awesome, I don't know what I would do without these videos, I would be so bored, tell's you how much I have no life. I love seeing all the places you go to. I only have one country on my bucket list and I will probably never be able to go. But it has also been a dream to travel the my own country especially with my daughter and granddaughter.

YYEESSS! 50states!!!!! And, you can go to alllllllllllll the National Parks again because NO PERMITS NEEDED since 1/22/2021!!!!! WOOT WOOT!!!!!
This takes priority over everything I should be doing right now
Enjoy ☕️🥰💗
Oh my gosh, I was thinking the same thing
Exactly. I should be doing school work but this is more important
Yup. I WAS working on homework. 😉
yea same
Can never get enough of Nate making Kara coffee every morning :')
...And come back to Utah.
I just gave the same recommendation!
Plus you can go to the Headlands International Dark Sky Park on the way up there to get world-famous views of the night sky. I grew up in Michigan, and I honestly think it's the coolest and most unique thing you can do in Michigan.
Snowmobiling around Mackinac Island is also worth consideration.
Michigan suggestion:
Come around late June or early July and visit Beulah, Mi. It's up near the pinky of the state and has a lake that's as blue as the Caribbean. Crystal lake is right next to Lake Michigan! The views are BREATHTAKING and I absolutely LOVE going up there every summer 🧡
Provide Whitmere allows IT! 😂🤣😂
I have been wanting them to come see michigan. The UP is beautiful june July and August 🥰😍 I would totally show them around.
Michigan is so underrated! There’s tons to do!
Have to go to the falls in upper Michigan!!
@@micahweiss Coming from a person who has visited Michigan and does not live there, my opinion is Mackinaw Island is the most overrated site in Michigan. I understand some people love it, but we were not impressed. That being said, there are other spots in Michigan we absolutely loved. I would suggest Sleeping Bear Dunes State Park and Silver Lake Dunes where you can rent dune buggies and go out on the dunes.
I love this channel. As an Australian it gives me such a thorough glimpse into your countryside that I just wouldn't get anywhere else. I've travelled all over Australia, so it's great to see another country. I'm excited for this journey of visiting 50 states of America! I will be following you from a little ole dusty outback town in Western Australia. Good luck with your travels
Omg, Im so excited for you guys to come to Massachusetts! Go to my hometown, Salem! 😁
me and my boyfriend have been dying for them to come here
@@gabbybabi13 yessss my husband and I watch every video waiting for them to come to the north east 😬😬😬
Yeah
We have Salem in india 🇮🇳
I live in Salem and it is really fun, I think they should visit in October maybe not Halloween it around that time 🙃😅
I truly hope you see this comment; look invest in your business by investing in your Van.
And while they are at it - they should get an incinerator-toilet!!!!
This right here. These aren't big issues in the grand scheme of things when you have 2M followers.
Perhaps they would do that except for $$$$$ it would cost. Unless they can find a company who will do it for free advertising.
@@marenhumblebee2736 Is that a real thing?
I don't know about US taxes but in the UK the improvements you do to your van which would be your primary workplace would also be tax deductable if your self employed... Splash the cash you two and make your lives easier
Dear Kara and Nate,
You have been such a inspiration for me over the last year,
me and my family geek out over your videos all the time,
and even if you don’t see this i just want you guys know that you guys are so resistant and inspiring!❤️❤️😍😍😍
💛💛💛💛
😆😘❤️
You guys are literally the best couple ever. Your videos are great, you inspire each other, and you make so many people’s days when you post. Keep up the great work! 😊
Ok y’all need a scratch off 50 state map 🗺 to document every state 🙌🏻
That is an amazing idea
First - you measure things, THEN you buy a new one and cut of the old one.
In Russia we have a wise saying: seven times measure one time cut! :)
When you come to Ohio, be sure to check out the SE part of the state in the Hocking Hills region....I’m only about 20 minutes away and have a driveway that you can power up in and use some amenities before you start wandering the hills, trails, back roads and caves.
Hocking hills state park is really really cool. Not very long hiking trails but they all lead to beautiful caves!
I submitted Hockey Hills and Cedar Point. I'd love a Hocking Hills video more. My husband and I got married there years ago.
You're awesome! So sweet for that offer and suggestions 😊☺
I just got done submitting an idea for them to visit SE OH, including Hocking, Athens and all the surrounding areas. I don’t live in that area anymore... but I’m keeping my fingers crossed they visit the area instead of focusing on bigger cities!! 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼
When you’re in Arkansas you gotta come to the Eureka Springs area! Beautiful hiking, driving and some cute small town charm!
I recommended the same to them on the form! Definitely a unique place.
Love Eureka Springs! All of NW Arkansas is really beautiful but Eureka is completely unique.
Eureka Springs is my favorite place to vacation!
Good luck, you might want to plan for Alaska being at the end. "international" travel restrictions going through Canada to get there will probably not allow you till the pandemic is done with us.
Never stop making videos 🥺 they are my therapy
Facts they help my anxiety so much 😭
I always watch them when I struggle with my eating disorder and anxiety
Amen
Facts I have angziaty and they are amazing
Yep I find them relaxing, enjoyable and they help my anxiety too.😊
Wisconsin depending on when you go has ice caves at apostle islands, or door county has lots of winery's. Another cool place is devils lake.
Door county also has an island with lavender fields. It is also known for its cherries during the August/summer.
Lake Superior is magnificent beyond belief. Apostle Islands were so beautiful. Lived in the midwest my entire life and had never been to the UP til this past summer. Can't wait to check out Pictured Rocks
Please come back to Maine, there's so much more beyond Portland that you guys didn't see!
I second this! I’m not from Maine (I’m from Boston) but I love road tripping to Maine because it really is such a beautiful state! Acadia National park and bar harbor are awesome.
I’m from Bar Harbor and I will second this ❤️
Or stop at the Lobster Shack at Two Lights south of Portland
Gotta love our Tennessee weather. We live in Cookeville, TN now but I was born in Nashville and grew up in Dickson Co.
Yeah-Minnesota here....Gunflint Lodge near Grand Marais.
Traverse City, Michigan is gorgeous and the Leg’s Inn.
You will have a blast.
So glad to hear that you actually liked Ukraine! Our country is really beatiful and deserves to be visited!
I was really shocked when they mentioned Ukraine first and they were so cool as they did not say "the" Ukraine!
yess!!!
Agreed!
im never over that nate always brought her coffee in the mornings. its the little things.. ❤️
I’m never over it either 🙋🏻♀️💗☕️
It’s so cute, HI I LOVE YALL
for Minnesota go hiking around lake superior, cliff diving, and look the waterfalls it’s gorgeous
Make a visit to America's oldest brewery in Pottsville, PA! Yuengling!
The van drive to Hawaii will be my most highly anticipated video lol
Hopefully they'll ship it on an ocean liner or cruise ship. 😂 They could still stay in it and meet their goal technically.
They can use the empty water tanks to help float the van across the ocean.
Sounds like a plan. Maybe they'll take us with them. They can attach a rope to a raft. We'll all paddle behind the van. Nobody will notice.
@@NorthCascadeshiker It’s even a good idea to bring the van over water, after all the van is the house they live in while traveling, snd it could bring them around on the islands. 😊
I have never been to early for a video before!!! YAYYY!!! Sunday’s are my favorite Because you guys post😭😭❤️
🙂🥰❤️
@@KaraandNate *I like very much your vlogs with van or the roads around the United States* ❤️❤️❤️
I’m so happy they are making these videos again. I have always had a fascination with van life, and when they stopped making van videos I was so sad. Thanks you guys!!!!!!!😃😃
BRING BACK THE COFFEE INTRO WE NEEEEEEDDDDD ITTTTTTTTTT
Why don't you guys still increase the size of the grey water and toilet tanks, but by a less amount than you intended too. Like maybe 10 gallons instead of 15 for the grey water tank, and 10 or 15 gallons instead of 20 for the toilet tank?!
My thoughts exactly.
Or buy a second pee tank?
yea and nates whole sad sorry for myself vibe and edit was cringe cringe
I thought the same. 5-10 is still a good upgrade and maybe even a 10 for the black water.
Or just have it done professionally? Both tanks could have fit.
Come to Roanoke, VA! We have the worlds largest man made start sitting on top of the Roanoke mountain. There’s awesome hiking and a outlook you can hike or drive too. Very close to AT and famous hiking spots like mcafee knob. Been watching y’all for years and would love to see y’all in my city!!
I second this! My husband and I LOVE Roanoke, VA! Did you complete the link?
You can buy the extra pee tanks, they are made by Nature’s head. We have the same toilet at our cabin.
Jesus Christ people, why don't they just pee in the woods FFS? Who pees indoors when camping?
@@TammyTravelsTheWorld totally agree!!! I don't get it...
@@TammyTravelsTheWorld I don’t know about you Tammy but many females aren’t comfortable with squatting!
@@liljohnnygogo lol idk about you but as a female, I’d prefer to pop a squat than have to empty a pee tank later.. No thanks
Karas face in 21:12 had me DYING. Then Nate was like “don’t make that face” and then she made a different funny face. Haha love you guys!! 🥰💖
I love how he gives Kara a cup of coffee every morning ❤️ They are both lucky to have each other!
Yay for taking us along for your incredible journey.
Road trip to Hawaii leggo! 🌴🥥🤙🏄♂️
My only request is please don’t just visit the “big cities” of that state. They are beautiful too, but we all see those on all the videos everywhere on TH-cam. I’d love to see you guys hit the small farm towns or lesser known beauties. W
Wait they’re taking requests!? 😂
@@lanceoa idk
@@lanceoa yes they are, there is a link to the google form in the description for this vid
Agree with this!
I have another solution for your toilet problem. Buy another bucket part for the toilet. You will have two of those and then can store a full one in a container somewhere on the outside of the van (like an attachment on the back of the van, or a tow, or underneath in some storage.
I just woke up, saw this video and now everything else I was planning to do has been put on pause until I’m finished.
When you come to Indiana, the only Albanese Candy Factory is in Northwest Indiana! Really magical and super fresh, yummy candy!
So weird how popular our local candy shop has become!
Afterwards they could tour the Ellsworth Cheese Curd Factory😁😁
Agree with you :) A good sleep is always needed :)
As someone who lives in Canada it’s weird to see people who aren’t used to snow... but y’all are doing great. Lol.
Yeah! But surprisingly, I’m from BC and we got our first snowfall of the season last week, and it melted 3 days later
He’s a soy boy
Ikr, I see snow all the time.
Glad to see you guys are doing well. Greetings from Portugal 🇵🇹👍
When you come to Delaware.... come to Sussex County. (I mean that’s only one of the three counties.) It is the beach towns, and has the coolest exploring opportunities!!
OMG you're also from DE!! And yess I agree Sussex County might be known as Slower Lower Delaware but it is the best!
@@arelyhm1266 I thought know one else lived in DE!! It feels good to know that someone does! 😂
Hi Kara and Nate, Glad to see that your travels continue! Please don’t forget to discuss at some point your internet issues and how you addressed them. I think a lot of people would appreciate your insight!
Yay so excited for the new adventures !
When you come to New Hampshire tackle Mount Washington. One of you can drive the van to the top, the other can hike it.
Why don’t y’all just turn each side into a Murphy bed that folds from each side onto the table? Then each side folds up onto the wall. The are super simple and cheap to build.
they'd have to move their cabinets
That would close off the windows plus make it difficult to use the table comfortably.
Glad u are back in the van waiting for new adventures.
Love u guys I’ve been watching for four years and it really helps me through qaurentine love u guys!💜
You just know that Kara and Nate never dissapoint. Thank you for always delivering amazing content!
Awwww that’s lovely to hear, thank you🥰❤️
Watching from Croatia. You guys are great!
I second this! Hocking Hills is probably the best place to go in Ohio for them!
^^^^Yes Hocking Hills!!!
Can we get a fourth?
Will he be allowed to film there ? They had trouble before in filming in parks. >>> th-cam.com/video/RHvHn9hs1MY/w-d-xo.html
Seems it's against the law to film in National parks, I don't know about State Parks though.
When you go to Nj, or Pa, you HAVE to go to Wawa. It's what we're known for.
they're all over Florida too
