I have this engine in my 97 geo metro, I really appreciate this content. Is this engine the one that they used in the Cultus Pikes Peak twin engine rally car? They got 400hp out of each engine some how(turbo), Since this is a sazuki engine I wonder if the heads off the Hyabusa or the pistons are close enough to machine into hybridization
If I wanted to order a complete rebuild kit..pistons,(stainless steel) valves,bearings,rings etc.Would I be able to order the parts necessary from your site to rebuild a 1.3 16 valve 4 cyl (G13b or G13BB) out of a 1999 Suzuki Swift or 1999 Chevrolet Metro?

I agree. how do you put the distributor in and get it in-sync with the timing of the cams? that would be my fear of doing this on my own. my luck ill screw something up and be right back at square one. thanks
+Crystal Jones This is the concern of many. Here are some written instructions that were designed to show customers how to remove and replace the distributor and maintain, as close as possible, the ignition timing. www.lowrangeoffroad.com/instruction-sheets/samurai-instuctions/samurai-distributor-vacuume-advance.html However, these instructions will only work if the engine (crankshaft and camshaft) are not moved during the removal and replacement of the distributor and that is not possible during an engine rebuild. The best way to do this would be to place the timing mark on the camshaft straight up before removing the distributor (See Step 1) and then place the camshaft in the same exact position before reinstalling the distributor (See step 25) you should be fine. Of course, you will need to check and set the ignition timing to have the engine run at its best. But it should at least run so that it can be timed with a timing light.
It will be really interesting to see some Suzuki g13b content 😊

Does the timing cover or pulley have an oil seal? I’m working on my 88 Suzuki and my grandpa is insisting that there was one on it.
Wouldn't super glue degrade the rubber, thereby shortening it's life span? Wouldn't silicone be better?
