- So this is the last part of my Chandigarh Dehradun Mussoorie ride. We covered a total of 750kms in total and this was the best part of the ride. I couldn't make the video shorter because of the number of scenic views. This was the first time I rode in the hills at night and even rode while it was raining.

It depends.. when I went it was quite pleasant but you can always Google the temperature.. I don't live in Dehradun so I don't really know

As I am from dehradun this is very familiar... But I want to convey my msg to everyone who come to mussoorie please don't throw plastic bags and and try to come in small 4 Wheeler so that there is less traffic jaam in the route...
Ikr! I had gone to Sahasdhara earlier this year and was fascinated to see all the caves and natural freshwater springs but when I entered them, I was shocked to see the amount of plastic waste inside. There was waste in the caves as well as on the banks of the river.

Last time I visited mussorrie that was in 1985 or 86. So many things has been changed, not much traffic in that time period. Thanks for the video

Hi,
Going to Mussoorie from delhi by bike on Monday. what are the things which I have to take care about while going. Will it be fine if I start at midnight.
Check your bike. Make sure the chain is adjusted and lubed. Check your engine oil level. Check whether your brake pads are good. Check your tyres. Make sure they have enough of life for the trip. Make sure there are no punctures. Fill them with tyre slime if possible. Basically just make sure everything is working. That should be all. Make sure you get enough sleep before leaving.
Midnight is a great time to start. Just make sure your lights are bright enough for the dark.
Also, check the traffic at Delhi Meerut highway before leaving. You don't want to get stuck in traffic at midnight 😅

How is the road quality from Dehradun to Mussoorie - any broken/rough patches on the way? Is it safe to drive on this route in December?

The last time I went, the roads were okay but if you plan to drive to Mussoorie, you'll find a lot of traffic on the way so I'd suggest to leave early in the morning or check Google Maps once

Hi - I went to Mussoorie during the 40's from Oakgrove High Jr. High School and my Aunt took us on horseback from a hotel near the school upto Mussoorie and we also visited a skating rink. My siblings and I were studying at the Jr. High School. I vividly remember the beautiful valley where we had sports and visited on the weekends. Ms. Gibson was the Headmistress at that time. Would like to meet any former Oakgrovians during that time before partition of India. Thanks and Long Live Oakgrove High School and the students!
