Mermaid dolls can definitely also be fashion dolls! Unfortunately, the Mermaid High series of dolls with removable fabric tails and additional costume pieces was cancelled after only two waves. I was hopeful that the line would last a while longer, because I really liked the concept.
I love hearing that opinion! It's not one I've heard too often being around mostly Barbie collectors. I've personally never heard of Mermaid High, I'm going to google it now! I think for most people the difficulty with mermaids is figuring out an elegant way to display them. But that's just a guess from my side. Did the Mermaid High have special stands? I don't really like the new totally hair Barbie but I didn't know they came out with a curvy one, I actually liked her. I liked the skater doll and any Asian doll I also like and have a few in my collection. Nice video.

Aww thanks Sadhvi! We're really happy to have you here with us! For sure, Totally Hair was EPIC! I think that if you get them at the right price, then for sure. I don't think that you can probably ever go wrong with a really long-haired doll, especially if they have colorful streaks like these ones do. We got these dolls on clearance for great deals. Otherwise, almost everything here is much more expensive than in the US, and we get things like a year later. We still don't have any of the new Monster High line for example... So it depends, but every once in a while we find some good deals. But that same day on the trip we found in a different store the Totally Hair Barbie for $50 a piece... So it really depends. 💖 - Cord

It's an unfortunate situation your client is in, we're all humans and fallible to social pressure, and succumbing to pressure in certain situations can be the reasonable response as a defence mechanism, however, I think when we start to let it compromise our values that goes against the expectations of fake friends and allowing it to change us to something we don't aspire to be, then it can really spiral into an unhealthy mindset in the long run. As a trans person, I've been subjected to intense social isolation, I dealt with situations like this by developing my social independence, I don't think I would have survived if I didn't, for me that means, not being a people pleaser, or seeking friendships from people whose values I don't know yet and also establishing my boundaries that only I have the autonomy to break, not others. I hope your client can come through their situation shining brighter.

European school systems have classmates really like close colleagues for all of your classes, and if you're supposed to see the same people and work with them every day for the next few years, getting along and fitting in socially can be more important than keeping up your values unfortunately. With Lucie she'll definitely end up shining! She has one of the best and longest lists of great reviews out of anyone in the country. I just think a tiny bit was lost in context, and a tiny bit in translation. That's sad that you were isolated socially, I hope that you've been able to find more of your tribe now! I'm sure with Lucie's help, the client will be able to deal with their situation. I suppose my situation was quite different, as fitting in wasn't an option, when socially isolating me for being trans was the purpose, even when I tried to fit in. But yes, I'm in a better place now, especially ever since I started collecting dolls! I can't explain it, but seeing my collection on my shelves brings me peace! :D
