I love how FootboxG kept to his original style and really went hard on creating new grooves for us to bounce to. They're both such amazing and original artists.

I _really_ like FootboxG's style. It's so bouncy and punchy! It's technical, too, but in a way that supports the groove rather than being more showy. That said, and while I totally agree that he won this, handily... I do have to say that Inertia may have some of the best control over subharmonics and overtones while mixing inward and outward false fold and primary fold sounds of probably anyone alive. He is, to that style of singing what Dimash is to pop/operatic, and what Tatiana is to metal. The way he can start with a reasonably low pitch (probably low 2nd octave), blend in the octave below seamlessly and then cycle just as seamlessly to a squeal four octaves above while the bass fades out slowly and becomes the third octave is just... freaking crazy. He's the only beatboxer I've ever heard who can genuinely make the full range of bonkers sounds present in the hardest of dubstep, and it is just wild! If he works on some technical stuff so he _can_ throw it in (which it seems like he has been) and gets a little more stylistic variety, with those sounds as a part of his arsenal for the big drops, rather than the entirety of each routine... man, he could be unstoppable! Both of these guys are the future, IMO. I have a suspicion that this won't be the last time they face each other on the stage!

Footbox was really good throughout the gbb ... He deserves so much respect! In my personal ranking it has climbed into the top 5 bbxs of all time 😁 all to say that inertia "is repetitive", in reality it is his style, but also vocodah has been doing the same style for years and it is still phenomenal!

Inertia recently dropped a shout-out that showcases good variety. While he does get repetitive and I know it's part of the battle, but when FootboxG says to do something other than Inward bass, how about match his? His mastery of it is insane. Regardless Footbox absolutely deserves it! I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy him throughout the event.

Hey D-Low, how much of a point loss do you consider it to be when beatboxers you listen to lose accuracy in their tempo? Does it depend on the technical aspects they're going for, or is it an automatic sort of downgrade?
I have the feeling that usually the judges are able to hear if it’s on purpose or not. I think it was Helium who did a great off-beat drop or build in his solo round but I’m not too sure tbh. When you can hear that the off-kilter beat is intelligently placed and still functions audibly and groove-wise, I’m sure the judges take it into account!
The second round of Inertia definitely had me bouncing all around in my chair. It was absolutely sick. Footobx definitely won, though, still. Inertia had an amazing showcase, and his two best routines against Helium were also insane. Then after that he kinda just recycled flows and combos and I got really tired of him, but here he finally showed something cool again. What a showing, considering it’s his first time competing outside the US? At least first time in EU.
I am FAR from an expert in these things but, in my humble opinion, FootboxG came across more in terms of stage presence/performance also. That is obviously important but I don't know how much it comes into the judges scoring. Nevertheless FootboxG really comes across well on stage, he's a character and he really played to both the crowd and to "the battle".

Inertias elim was the best I’ve ever heard but he never quite recaptured that in the other rounds imo still amazing tho and excited to see him come back again next year
