Putting aside my immediate "parental pride" for the moment, I'd like to offer my feedback with my "vocal coach hat" firmly placed on my head. A main challenge for vocal ensembles looking to perform at a high level is voice-blending. This issue can (and usually does) arise on several fronts, not just with overall tonality blend. Added into that mix (in this case), is that the participants are collaborating from half-way around the world, let alone not having the benefit of doing so live, side-by-side. In listening to this performance, I was highly impressed by the overall vocal quality, and MOST especially by the high-level vocal blend achieved throughout the performance. This came across clearly in several areas, including intonation, volume & dynamics balance, diction and phrasing. I've personally coached a number of ensembles that worked incredibly hard, and for a long time, to achieve blends on par with this level of performance. Great job, ladies! Also, solid kudos for the video editing work, which flawlessly matched the audio up with the animated action on the screen. Having watched the movie, I was totally blown away by how smoothly the audio flowed with that action. If I didn't know that the sound was dubbed, it would have been very difficult, if not impossible (at least for me) to detect it while watching and listening. Fantastic performance, all the way around. Congrats to Deanna, Natalie & Michael! All the best!
