Awesome recipe, secret ingredient from mi Padre is diced carrots and serrano instead of jalapeno! We always try to dice all vegetables same size to make sure the star of the show is shrimp! Also! For the best texture, cure the carrots and shrimp overnight with lemon. When you add the fresh ingredients.. remove the old liquid and replace with fresh lemon. Seems overkill but the flavor of fresh lemon beats the scummy overnight lemon water! Just thought I'd share
Thank you! I love this recipe. Usually the seafood isn’t cooked so I’ve been avoiding it at restaurants. I’m pregnant and I’ve been craving it like crazy but since this recipe has cooked shrimp I can try it at home! Also, love that you’re using Cholula, I don’t like the tomato sauce or ketchup so this is awesome! Thanks for the great meal prep recipes!
Looks great!! I enjoy seeing how other's make their ceviche. I do the same process w/ the shrimp, I just quarter mine before putting into the hot water and I add extra virgin olive oil to the lime juice dressing to help cut that lime. I don't add cucumbers, but I am pretty sure that it taste great. Once it is ready to eat I dice up an avocado and eat all together. This is a dish I make quite often especially now that the seasons are changing and this is a light healthy dish.
I always make shrimp ceviche when I go to my friends every 4th of July. I saw this video and made it. It was a great hit and I really liked it as well. I loved all the texture from all the other veggies. Thank you for sharing this recipe to all of us 🥰. Looking forward to more
Kevin did you know that the stem of the cilantro (or even parsley) is where the most flavor is? My advice (also from Gordon Ramsey &&& Jamie Oliver) is to chop it all together not just the leaves. Hope next time we see you chop the entire thing and use every bit into your recipe
Another goodie to add to my FMC recipes to try! I love your App, Kevin. It has helped me meal prep easily and I have dropped 16 LBs so far. About 60 more to go!
Ok, so I found your channel really recently in a search for some meal prep ideas and everything is nice and beautiful but there's one thing I don't get. This may not be the case for this particular recipe as there's no heat involved but I wanted to comment a quite new video to increase the likelihood of getting an answer so here's the question: When you prepare meals in advance lets say for five days then how do you make them warm on the next day? Microwave or in the oven or maybe you never do so ...?
Hey fellow Kev. Made it when I got home tonight cuz i couldn't wait. meal prepped for the weekend and first few days of the week. I couldn't resist tasting tonight. Simply amazing. I'm gonna have to brag to my Colombian co-workers that I have a rival recipe! Keep up the good work man.
So uh, ya. I made this on Friday with the intention of having it for meal prep for this week. It is Monday at lunch time now and I have no Ceviche left. It was so good, it was gone by Sunday mid day!!!!!
i have a question, what is a great hi cal and fat (keto) for Breakfast thats very tasty, i have been eating pure baken n' eggs (purely mixed )with cottage cheese. do u know any thing better that could rejuvenate my morning Breakfast ? im just getting board of this..
This looks so good, unfortunately I'm not confident to eat something with raw fish at home...I'm always afraid of doing something wrong ._. Is there maybe some kind of trick or hack that I could use to make it foolproof? Greetings from Germany ♥
You didn’t need to boil the fish, as the acid in the Citrus fruits is supposed to cook the raw fish. Boiling before hand and leaving for 4 hours is deffo over working the delicate seafood and not ceviche. Nice flavours thou👌🏾
Hey bro love your recipes! But this isn't really ceviche it's more of a "cocktel de camaron", ceviche is seafood (usually shrimp) that's cooked by the acid in limes then the veggies and a bit of clamato is added.
that looks delicious, not too hard, & not too long to prepare, i'll certainly give it a try, thx for this recipe. But damn u always speak sooooo looong in your intro ;)) Still love u and your recipes, perfect as always have a good day!

If you decide to do cauliflower rice should you cook it a little or eat raw? This looks super yummy.
I love the flash boiling such a good idea.
this looks sooooo delish! How long would you say you can store this in the fridge for?
I definitely enjoyed this video. The dish is so pretty and prepared perfectly.
You should try adding a little bit of the water where you cooked the shrimp! It adds even more flavor! ☺️
I clicked the like button after you showed the ingredients. Now finish watching the video. I can already tell that this is a good one.

So how do I go about cooking/curing the shrimp in ONLY citrus juice? How long should it cook/cure in the citrus juices?
When I make ceviche, I let it cure for about 2-5 hours

Sir ...try to give nutritional value and info about the recipes you make
Souri Royal sir... it's in the description and plus, it's not that hard to do the work yourself.
Hey Souri, please check full recipe in the video description. You can find macros there. :)
Less talking more cooking shorter videos but good recipe, just got irritated with hearing your voice.
