I want to remove the glass packs then replace them with "Hemi mufflers" then put the glass packs in the tail pipe just ahead of the end of the exhaust as resonators. Like on a 73 440 Charger from the factory.

I used to drag race my '69 Charger at the race track, and there is a bit where everyone sits there with the engines turned off. When they said "start you engines" I couldn't tell when to let off the ignition key because I couldn't hear my car. That's when I put in side cutouts right behind the doors. I had no trouble hearing my car roar after that. Highly modified 440 with open headers. Oh man.
You can feel and hear the excitement in this video . I never owned a real Hotrod and I am 60 . So to watch you build and drive yours is very satisfying.
Completely understand the logic. For example, I just had the rear "Banana" muffler on a vintage V8 Audi Quattro I inherited replaced with a 2.25, dual inlet/outlet, Magnaflow 11378 muffler and a pair of double-walled, stainless tips installed. Before it was just silent- now you can hear it lightly at idle, it gets a lot more noticeable under medium-to-hard acceleration. Have taken it on road trips & it is very livable; it doesn't make you deaf and has a nice tone from idle to "Buried the pedal." It's not a BB muscle car, but the sound is definitely a cool V8 sound. It's twin-turbo younger brother is even better sounding-
The only two times I usually don't like burnouts is the weak 4L60E gm 4spd automatic overdrive transmission in my early 94 Chevy Z71 Silverado extended cab short bed 4x4, and when I have to buy tires for the 16 inch wheels on either of my trucks lol

I wondered where the lock knob on your driver's door was, then I saw the Dukes move. Oh. -3dB is a 50% drop in sound power, -2dB is a 37% drop, so yes, easy to tell the difference.
Know what would fix the issue perfectly with any exhaust you wanted?! Mild to wild exhaust. Had it on my Z06 7.0. Could hear the radio driving down the hwy and your thoughts and if you wanted to open it up it screamed and sounded so mean

I run Dynomax mufflers since 1994,quiet until full throttle...Highway iys not much louder than stock mufflers but a mean sound thats unbeatable..They have a sound that's killer..I always listen to other Mopars and see what mufflers they have but never did hear a sound better..Personally didnt hear these mufflers in this video until I do,I will stick with Dynomax for Chrysler V-8's small and big block. Billy Boat Exhaust for Dodge V-10 engines,Viper,Viper Truck and even the 1994-2003 V-10 in Dodge truck heavy duty.

I’ve had my Satellite since 1979 and love that sound but as a daily driver it will make you insane plus I’m running 4/11’s for beating around town. Why I’m commenting is about your overdrive you plan on installing. Can you give us B block guys a DIY that’s able to be done with slight fabrication and not costing a fortune? I never miss a video so I know I’ll see it but for a fellow gray beard the sooner the better. Always enjoy Junkerup, and I know I myself learned a lot of new ways to do old tricks, THANKS a lot.
go buy an a518/46rh, and buy a 727 big block super-bell. cut the a518 bellhousing off, the super bell bolts to the front pump. uses the same front pump bolt pattern on both as far as i know. youll have to make your own trans crossmember, may have to trim the floor, and will have to shorten the driveshaft
You should try the J pipe exhaust drone solution. There is some science and math and stuff to do but there are some good TH-cam videos on how to do it. It's basically noise cancellation pipes T'd into the main pipes that have the length tuned to the drone frequency at cruise speed. No restriction added. Just more pipe clutter under the car.
Well, it turned into the Worlds Best Infomercial for Porter Mufflers... You did a beautiful job on the Charger/General Lee.. Glad you know how to smoke the tires properly,not like some clowns holding the brake and the back wheels are struggling.. Or else they hold them for half the distance as you smoked them for and they are still holding the brake for some odd reason and flooring it to the cars max rpm and clueless/ ruining their car ..Seen it with GM/Ford and Mopar owners lol..total cringe!
Try putting a balance tube in. Will help lower Db and won't hurt performance. 70Db is the max limit for hearing before ear drum damage can start to happen over long periods of time.
Chris, how did u mount the hitch receiver on your car? I would like to put one on my 69 charger to pull a trailer. Im getting ready to do a long road trip and need one.

I bet you could quiet it up a little more by dampening some of the sheet metal? Not go crazy but some well placed sound dedening might help especially with the younster.

I got rid of the flow Bastards, Thrushes, Cherrys and went with Jones Full Bores. Happy with them but will try those Porters. They sound Bitchen YUP.

My dad has had porter mufflers in his 58' DeSoto for 3 years or so. They sound killer!

Brother, what are the resonators you used to drop the noise down a few decibels?
Maybe you should add two more mufflers , like the Silver Bullet did to quiet it down some more.

Have you ever run Hooker Aeroflow 3" exhaust? Might be what your looking for, I've been running them on all my vehicles since the early ninety's

With that much acceleration, you might need to cushion pad the seat belts in that baby seat 😄
