- They Drained this section of canal a few months ago! There were even some stranded fish when it was drained. Did this section make a recovery? We are about to find out!
We are on a canal fishing mission here in AZ to find out if they did indeed put the fish back in the canal after draining it.
Canals are probably the most hit and miss fishery here in AZ. They can either be loaded with fish, or completely empty. When there is fish around man it is fun tho!
What will we find? No one knows!

I remember when they were draining the canals to clean and do repairs/patches. The little spot I used to fish was dead for a while until more fish made it down stream. Then a storm knocked down some large tree branches that fell in the canal. Made for some prime cover and also fishing picked back up within the year. Great videos. ❤

I was fishing Percy Priest near Nashville TN and saw this guy had a huge fish. I went over and it was a 25 LB carp. He was English and couldn't believe most Americans treat Carp as a trash fish.

Been fishing the canals in az but I’ve been noticing there’s a bunch of vegetation on the bottom and it always covers my bait, any fix or technique I should try ?
try a bobber and float it right above the vegetation

I do have a question about your gear. I use home made rod holders a piece of PVC on a short piece of rebar. Where did you get those 1 piece rod holders at if you don’t mind me asking? I also fish the Aqueduct in CA and it has the same type of banks, hard dirt. Thank You in advance…
Yessir I get them custom welded from a buddy of mine. Rebar and pvc works great I bet also
@@TheFishinMagician20 yes, the rebar and pvc works out pretty good once they’re in place. The problem I have is I use radiator style hose clamps to hold the PVC to the rebar. No matter how tight I tighten the clamps, the PVC moves when I’m driving the rebar in the ground. I’m thinking of something that’s one piece would work out better. I’m going to be up in Paulden next month and really looking forward to coming South and hitting up some parks and canals. Been watching your vids and they are very helpful and informative 👍👍

You wanna know something, I went over to Pecan lake in Queen Creek today and I got $40 for catching two koi fish! The comment about the lake two videos ago convinced me to check it out and I had a blast out there. You gotta try that lake bro!

@@TheFishinMagician20 Yes sir! Barbless hooks only. You can use any kind of food bait to get them biting. But no lures! It costs $10 to get access to fish there.
