This is my favorite dance from the Alvin Ailey dance company, I just wish my Father would have understood that dance is another form of storytelling, but he wouldn't allow me to dance, but I still enjoy it, it's life.
Dance and laughter are the keys to life. I've always wanted to be a dancers but running track killed my knees. I love all forms of dance Allen's dances speak to you they can help you heal grow and it brings me joy.
I can’t get enough of the Alvin Ailey American Dance. Ever since 1968 when I was in college. Watching them ever since passing down to my daughter and soon my granddaughter. Amen hallelujah 🙏🏾

"Revelations" is my favourite choreographic work of all time. I studied this work of art back in high school and I've been smitten since. What an amazing choreographic piece...so spiritual, so healing, so relatable. ALVIN AILEY DID THAT!

Furthermore, I lve and support DTH with all my heart and have for the past handful of decades, btu the last time i saw DTH present a full length ballet, is a very long time...however I would never say to you that your comment about them was absurd???

Alvin Ailey had a since about expressing yourself through every inch of your body. That's what makes his movements so powerful, because every inch of the dancer's body is telling a story

Having seeing videos of AADT from years past, have never seen this company dance so well. Bordering on perfection. What confidence; what technique. Consequently, we may never never see these ballets danced so well. Cherish them.
I could see them in Budapest. Never forget it!! (nearly 30 - 40 years a go)

I love all 4 styles of dancing. The performance was breathtaking. These performers/dancers brought these styles of dancing to life. My favorite out of the 4 is Chroma and Takademe. I'm really drawn by Takademe because it's so unique. Thank you Alvin Ailey. May you rest in peace and may your work/art lives on. 💜

i live in Paris, and each time Alvin Ailey s company come, they have a standing ovation from us french.No doubt one of the best company around. If u want to introduce children to ballet, it s a great choice to pick.
Wayne McGregor... there's something about his works that are just... next next next level. Arches, sharp corners, split second gestures, cylindrical twirl... His signature is, "No, your body isn't made of bones, it's made of plastic. And yes, EVERYBODY can arch and bend 90 degrees all the time. Try it!" Just absolutely beyond marvelous. God-like.
These are really piece of art in dance. I fear that choreography is taking another journey that only examines the subject and not the movement. There is so much passion and truth behind each dancer. Bravo !

Absolutely Love, Love this company! Perfections. Arms, hands, legs, bends, leaps are spot on. The men lift, spin, and throw the women with so powerfully. This is the only American ballet troupe I have seen in America who performs in synch and power like this. Keep up the good work.

This is truly the best dance performance I've ever seen, pity it wasn't live. Chroma is exquisitely artistic and technical, but Grace is simply stunning, the choreography takes the company by storm and each dancers deliver their best, articulate and dazzling. Takademe is so quixotic to every minute beat and Revelation is biblical in its deliverance.

The whole thing is amazing, but my favorite one is Chroma. Especially the one that ended with the guy holding the lady in his arms while she slowly slide down on him.
