I'm not a musician...but I ALWAYS knew Creed was AWESOME....even when people were putting them down...nice to see a professional give them their due!!!
As a Baritone myself, I don't think a lot of people can truly appreciate/realize how friggin' difficult it is to sing those higher registers in the chorus and bridge in your head voice. Not just to hit the notes, but the level of control it takes to hold those notes for more than a beat or two. Scott's voice back in his prime was insane for a Baritone.
I have something to add to this comment. People always gave Scott a lot of crap for his yarl voice, but to those people I direct them to one performance in particular. Look up their live performance of Wash Away Those Years from Wilkes-Barre, PA and listen to Scott’s vocal bridge. Those notes he reaches and the POWER behind it. He was such an amazing sunder.
That’s my second favourite Creed album (after Human Clay). Massively underrated because it was after their popularity had died down. Songs like Overcome, Bread of Shame, Rain, Time, On my Sleeve, Thousand Faces, Good Fight. Brilliant album.
Music really is a time capsule. It can bring you back to a time once lived. Make your mind go back and “see” where you were and what you were doing. It’s magical.
Guitarist Mark Tremonti is a MASTER musician. Look into his solo work or his other band Alter Bridge with Creed bandmates, Scott Phillips and Brian Marshall, and vocalist Myles Kennedy. Back in the day (early 2000s) I saw Creed too many times to count, flew all over the country to see shows and I can attest that they were phenomenal live. The feelings that great live music gives us is unmatched by anything else in this life and I am thankful for the memories from all those concerts.
Great review and it seems your a very talented musician to just replicate the melody on a keyboard. I could never do that. Well done. I was a teenager in the 90s which was an awesome time for music and our country. I was free. Metallica, Mega-death, GNR! On a different genera Garth Brooks, George Straight, Clint Black. We were also starting to explore our parents music, Rolling Stones, Fleetwood Mac, Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings. So many more. Magical time compared to now which I just consider filth. Then Creed came along and brought a Christian side to the heavy rock industry. Amazing to some kid raised in west Texas southern Baptist. Their songs were not only beautiful but hard hitting! If u dont do some self-reflection and get a tear in your eye truly listening to them then something is probably wrong. They were an amazing band that resonates with me to this day. God Bless you all.
Mark tremonti has his own PRS signature model now (was already playing a PRS back in the days on those videos). Great recognition for his work he had got since the Creed years.
I recently re-found Creed having grown up when they got big and buying into the Creed sucks thing. I regret that and was kind of blown away listening to them again haha. It was like middle school HS years so it was probably beyond me then anyway. I love your videos - your reaction here is how Creed feels haha and is meant to be heard.
Dawn Cairns, the woman in this video, was also in My Sacrifice. As a side note, Stapp had gotten into an accident on the day of the shoot, being hit by a vehicle in the back of his and suffering whiplash and a concussion. This explains why he doesn't do much, but the pain on his face is also very, very real.
I have loved Creed since they hit the music scene ... i was so heart broken when they split ... they just got back together and i couldn't be happier ... and Scotts voice sounds good ... not quite there but i think the more he sings the stronger it will get ... i am so proud of Scott for getting his life in order and i am proud of the band for not totally giving up on Scott ... this band is in my top 5 bands of all time ... i know that sounds crazy, with all the great bands of the 70's, 80's and 90's .. but i love their sound and the energy their music brings ... it super charges me just listening to it ...
Like I said earlier on another video. They were so good Live, almost sounded better than three studio version. And yes, Scott Stapp always singing in the face. ❤ THANK YOU!
when this came out i was at the very end of an extremely long period of my life where i was first on the school bus and last off. even when i was in high school right up until when i started driving myself it was an hour to school and an hour home for 12 years. 2 hours / day every school day. read the lord of the rings and many many other novels including every single tom clancy fiction novel and listened to so many albums over and over on my diskman(ish).
Omg when I first heard this song? Instantly a fav. I thought they can’t do better than My Sacrifice? Then they released this song. That was it for me lol
I'm late to the party, but (as a Creed, Alter Bridge, Tremonti fan) I'd recommend checking out AB's "Cry of Achilles" and definitely "Words Darker Than. Their Wings" (live from the Royal Albert Hall, with the Parallex Orchestra will knock your socks off), and there is a ton of great stuff from Tremonti, "Marching in Time" from the album of the same name, is beautiful. Anything from "Mark Tremonti Sings Frank Sinatra" is amazing.
HECK YES THEY WERE AWESOME LIVE. Especially at this time or during the tour for their second album "their heyday". They were a tight unit as a band, mark and scott were a dynamic duo on stage. Scott had the stage presence of a true rock star. There were pyro at their shows and everything. They were my first concert when their third album came out. I was only in like 10th grade or so.
definitely one of my favorite bands ever after Metallica, Linkin Park, & AC/DC 🎸🖤 classic song right here it gives me so much good memories all tha beers I had with my dad listening to this masterpiece 🔥
Creed live shows from 1997 to 2002 were incredible.Sadly their reunion shows had Stapp in a really unfortunate vocal state.. but 1997-2002, creed live shows were magical, to say the least. The band were outperforming their records. Checkout creed live from Tempe 98 and creed live from mesa, arizona 99.
Watch their concert at Woodstock '99. Back when his voice was strongest. Also, search Creeds rare songs. Is This The End, To Whom It May Concern, and Blistered are amazing. You can thank me later. =)
Really enjoy your reactions...with this, I'm hoping you delve into some Alter Bridge, basically Creed with a new lead singer (Myles Kennedy). Mark Tremonti does some amazing work with Myles at the helm. I do enjoy how Creed songs hit...powerful!
I'm not a musician...but I ALWAYS knew Creed was AWESOME....even when people were putting them down...nice to see a professional give them their due!!!

Saw Creed 4 days ago. Blown away. Scott still hitting those big notes 25 years later. Incredible band.
“A Thousand Faces” on their newest album Full Circle became one of my favorite Creed songs.
Marks backing vocals are something else on this song 🤘
Me too!
That’s my second favourite Creed album (after Human Clay). Massively underrated because it was after their popularity had died down. Songs like Overcome, Bread of Shame, Rain, Time, On my Sleeve, Thousand Faces, Good Fight. Brilliant album.
I know people rip on Creed, but they're so damn good. I forgot how much of a banger this track is! *talks in Creed voice the rest of the day.

Thank you for this. This song is my favorite from them and THEY ARE ON TOUR 2024!

Creed is the best. THE BEST! I love them! They take me higher and higher and higher, and the view from here - breathtaking!
I saw Scott Stapp perform in 2021 and he sounded amazing. I still get emotional thinking about that show.
I saw them live during the first album tour, they were REALLY good live. Scott’s voice sounded like the album .
Love Creed. I wanna see Mark Tremonti and Scott back together again. Tremonti said he has a album of Creed songs waiting to be record.

Gotta watch Creed NFL halftimeshow from back in da day. Just Great.
🦅🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸😎🎸🏈
Saw them live last week and Scott looks great and sounds better than ever! He hit every single note with precision!
5:44 man, that was beautiful, OMG... Thanks for that!
I saw Scott Stapp live at the Greek Theater in Berkeley during The Great Divide tour. I think back in 2005 or so. And he was fantastic.
Definitely my favorite Creed song as well, not that I'm a huge fan, but its fun to try and sing like Scott does haha
Mark tremonti has his own PRS signature model now (was already playing a PRS back in the days on those videos). Great recognition for his work he had got since the Creed years.

Thanks for playing and sharing Creed. Best of their songs!!👏🎸🎼♥️
My man’s got that on the piano.
Dawn Cairns, the woman in this video, was also in My Sacrifice.

I grew up on Creed when i was like 5 or 6 years old back when this album came out. Creed is underrated!!!🤘🏽
This was so satisfying. I loved watching someone lose their shit at the same points in this song as me! Such a powerful song.
Love your vibe dude. Your passion is infectious
I am a fan when they came out, but never heard thier first album. Arms Wide Open, My Sacrifice and Don’t Stop Dancing.
This is one of my fav songs ever!
Would love to see you do “beautiful” and/or “bullets” by them. Both are well written songs, albeit a bit heavier.
React to alter bridge. Tremonti's guitar works evolved so much in alter bridge. I think alter bridge's sound in the middle of rock and metal genre.
i love your reaction and comments
when this came out i was at the very end of an extremely long period of my life where i was first on the school bus and last off. even when i was in high school right up until when i started driving myself it was an hour to school and an hour home for 12 years. 2 hours / day every school day. read the lord of the rings and many many other novels including every single tom clancy fiction novel and listened to so many albums over and over on my diskman(ish).
Time, The good fight and The song You sing are amazing tracks from Full Circle
Creed are the real deal !!
Bro I enjoyed the heck out these reactions. Salute sir.
Omg when I first heard this song? Instantly a fav. I thought they can’t do better than My Sacrifice? Then they released this song. That was it for me lol
You gained a new subscriber man! just checked out the channel and i love it all. Fuck the naysayers!
"Stand here with me"..criminally underrated...as is "hide"

This and Pity for a Dime are my favorite Creed songs.

I do care and I wish you all long life
So nice of you!
I got to see Creed six times back between 2000 and 2002
Wonderful Song as Creed had Many Of. Hopefully you react to Torn. Such an amazing song

This opening riff by Tremonte is timeless
I was digging your tunes 💯🎹
I feel that Creed was the original Nickelback in the way that everyone talked crap and hated on them. But deep down, we ALL love Creed.
Lots of jealousy! . They were TOO great. Period.
you would like "Faceless man" interesting musical structure
The original bass player wasnt on this Weathered album as you can see hes not in the music videos you've done recently. Mark did both
He didn’t nail those notes live, amazing records.
Please check out Scott’s solo music….you will NOT be disappointed!!! Purpose for pain or slow Suicide are 2 great ones to start with!!
Watch their concert at Woodstock '99. Back when his voice was strongest. Also, search Creeds rare songs. Is This The End, To Whom It May Concern, and Blistered are amazing. You can thank me later. =)
You should do the band Crossfade next. VERY underaprecciated band

NICE! ❤ I think what you're talking about not being buried, would be a mausoleum. SO...save your pennies, mister!
Notice that Brian Marshall is not in the music video
Brian had left the band by this point. mark recorded bass parts in this record
That intro definitely makes the video better (cut it)
Heya, I have a request I think you'll really like if you haven't seen: "Harry Mack dissects his own bars." I think you'd be flabbergasted.
Everyone hates in creed but the writing and talent is there. Can't wait to see them this year.
Creed was absolutely awesome live back in the day. Scott was able to nail these vocals. Unfortunately he did end up hurting his voice some.
Scott got healthy and sounds really good again :)
@@cheesecrums1559 yeah I meant to mention that he was sounding good again now
I’d like to hear you play this on your board. I think would be beautiful.
