the day before targeting kings in the feather river theres no way better to get pumped up than watching angler west tv with legends big Dave and the pro cure boys!
I just found the answer I never knew about this thank you. I checked out fresh water fisheries society of British Columbia which has a TH-cam channel Fishing With Rod he had information on it. And they showed how to identify landlocked Kokanee and land locked Coho
I live in Vancouver bc I have never heard of land lock coho on the west coast. Of Canada or the States before. I know back east has Coho in the great lakes. In Ontario ans the American great lake states they also go into the rivers and creeks in that region. Kokanees are land locked Sockeye. Please let me or everyone know what western State or Province has the landlocked Coho thanks
Those fish caught at Riffe were not Coho. I only see one coho at time 21:59. Coho have a forked tail and spots just on the top of their backs. Looks like trout/triploid, and maybe a cutthroat.
Go deeper to stay out of the small fish on riffe I fished around 80ft 2 person limit all as big or bigger than your biggest. Loop in front of the dam boundary markers by drop off. Or tight along rock cliff walls
What weight and pulls for the upper bay? I have struggle for a couple years trying to perfect it. 9 pulls or 18 feet with 4 ounces seems to work just doesn’t seem that deep
Dave doesn't usually think in terms of pulls. "Just get it back there a good ways". We were only in about 7 feet of water so on the upswing we could usually see the flashers. If I remember right we were using 4s and 6s but that will depend on what the tide is doing.
Because Kokanee and Sockeye are very close in species but not exactly the same fish. Coho and chinook (landlocked or not) are the same fish just held back by the barriers of the waters.
funny how even the hatchery Tillamook springers are the size of a adult Coho, nice fish though and that was all the guide getting that fish. Owen was probably drinking beer and steve was asleep helluva crew there...hahalol

Only 1 of those fish really looked like a coho to me, good vid!
Yeah same.
Thank you Angler West I learnt something new
Spin fish for the win! That grass can be tough on a long day of fishing

Very nice!!
Memaloose boat launch!???!?!?!
should have showed the inside of the fish a little better so we could all appreciate the infestation of worms in that lake
