I like how each story gets progressively more direct with their horror starting with a kind of mundane and subtle horror short to a tree monster at the end it's like an increase in stakes almost.
1st story: There must have been a reason they went over the lake instead of around. Anyone would know never to go over a frozen lake... unless it was the only option. My theory is that they were constantly on the move, trying to avoid something, and they couldn't stop or debate what to do when coming across the lake. So they just walked over it. The one who fell in could have been the lucky one, because the one who survived has to be on the move again. Leaving his friend behind. From the way the one on the surface reacted, there could have been an entity after them. 2nd story: The body doesn't feel real actually. It feels like a warning. A part of the man's subconscious telling him of the possibility of his demise, and that fear and anxiety is put into this dead body representing what could happen to him. He hears it, he sees it, and he takes the advice. I like this story a lot because it reminds me of other horror stories like it that are considered more of a lesson than a big bad monster. 3rd story: This I want a whole movie about. A whole cabin actually being used as a trap for humans while the environment and trees are the predators. It's like a honeytrap. Looks nice at first, feels nice at first, but actually it leads you into a false sense of security to better catch you. The body snatching creatures in this is interesting, but I gotta give props to the protag in this one. He clearly cared about his friends. He considered on checking on the one that went to the bathroom when they were taking too long, relieved when they came back, and tried to save the one that was sleeping. I feel sad for him and I'm happy he survived, but there's still that bittersweet, somber feeling in the ending as the bodies of his friends watch him leave. Horrifying, loved every second of these winter stories.
Paramount: "You can't tell a compelling story without Master Chief taking his helmet off" Meanwhile, Surkee's telling compelling stories without any dialogue
Really like this video and format. Some thoughts on the stories, all of which I really enjoy 1. It was short but good and scary. Ice Lakes are not to be trusted. Does make me wonder if the scampering at the end was just the dude being horrified at the situation or if something else is spooking him, since I feel like the later is implied. 2. Really dig the usage of the old guy model. You can really tell he comes from the early 2000s but it’s nice to see more models. Like the scenario and how much is implied, like the guys obvious experience. Though a thank you from the frozen corpse would have been nice, so much for politeness these days 😒. 3. Probably my personal favorite. Good spin on the classic cabin in the woods and body snatcher scenarios. The trees being a weird predatory angler fish like thing is so cool and I like how the guy actually uses the fight part of fight or flight. Lot of these innawoods stories would be so much cooler if there was more chair smashing.
I wanted to mention, @4:50 the detail of climber's eyes rolling forward as he woke up is a beautiful touch. Seriously high quality. A lot of people wouldn't have even thought to do it
absolutely love the level of care and detail put into these, with the quality that these are being made with, i honestly don't care how long they take to come out. Blessing the world with such character and attention to detail is worth every second of waiting.
SURKEE! is back let's GO. FAVORITE SMF creator. I'm so excited I can't even spell right. Anthology horror is some of my favorite so I bet I'll love this
i'd love to see an april fools video where it starts off normal but the 'protagonist' is gordon freeman (not in the hev suit ofc) and near the end of the video when the big reveal comes he sucker punches the monster and it plays the valve theme
Not gonna lie, i was expecting this animatinos to have some sort of narration like you're other animations, but they we're pretty great non the less, they we're pretty CHILLL, i know that i'm the master of comedy as you can laugh right now please
I enjoyed the simplicity and humanity of the second one. I imagine that any experienced mountaineer would come across their fair share of bodies in their travels, it comes with the territory. His lack of surprise as it got closer and closer to him also definitely suggests that it wasn't necessarily meant to be taken completely literally, I like the angle of the body representing his own fears and anxiety. Almost the kind of story you'd read in the bible.
@@SomebodythatAyusedtoknow Plant uses TF2 models usually though, I like Surkee for doing it with citizen models (don't get me wrong Plant's videos are cool too.) Lemurfot did some cool SCP SFM videos though, and GoldenLane Studio isn't really for me but their animation style is nice too.

In the first one i really wondered why the guy who didnt drop down to the ice didnt just gesture him to follow him to point he fell through so he could get out tho i do wonder what he saw to cause him to run away like that second story was literally just dead mountanieer harassing a mountanieer that wasnt dead third one was a cabin in the woods unga boogaloo where a forest creature or whatever did some tomfoolery and possessed the 2 other people i liked these onces because monster kills everyone and tells his victims they have skill issue havent checked in a while good work really doing the opposite of surkee hope you keep it that way
He wasn't possessed, from what I've observed the monster in the third one operates like "The Thing"(i.e it is a biological infector-parasite), the trees are probably infected and once one of their roots got to the guy's brain he too got infected and became the part of "The Thing", together with trees, the other guy and that fleshy monster.
at the end i may or may not be on to something but at the end the knocking on the glass is supposed to be the banging on the ice in the first story and the most obvious being the guy in story 3 and then its all combined when its in the mountains and its snowy
respect to the corpse for convincing that guy to not risk his life on that mountain
