Will this 4x4 SQUAREBODY K5 BLAZER do anything in the snow?

  • We had one of, if not the biggest snow storm that we have ever seen in our area come through mid January. We attempt to start up our 88’ K5 Blazer to drive around, but it just didn’t want to cooperate in the extreme cold. We do a true cold start on our 87’ LS Swapped truck, but couldn’t do much with it, being a two wheel drive. Last but not least we go to the truck that has had some time in the snow from a couple of years ago. We take our lifted Cat eye Silverado for a few donuts. The truck did pretty well in the snow, and it was a lot of fun. We know this isn’t really our regular content, but is nice to have a little change from time to time. Thanks for watching! I am an old guy, grew up in the 70s-80s. We used to call 'squarebody chevys' were made from 1973 to 1979. In 1980, the front end parts changed and they had different sheet metal on the front (hood fenders etc.) At 1:00 , on your blazer, you can see the front fender slopes toward the grille. This would mean that early 80's Chevrolets were NOT squarebodys. Not sure why people call all Chevrolet/GMC trucks from 1973 to 1987 squarebodys. Someone missed passing down to the younger generation what a squarebody really is.
