No, not at all. Accepting your weakness isn't a allibi for not possessing other compensating strengths. You must focus on saying the truth and how you cope with it. For example, I am awkward around new people too, so I always tag along with a friend or bring food to the potluck because I know I can make a conversation over food always.
This has happened to me when I was looking for shadowing & work, they directly said we wanted someone to sell our services but you are really sweet n said bye🙄😥
