This is so sad. RIP Julian Sands. He wasn't just a great actor, he was a great voice actor too. He played the villain in the animated show Jackie Chan Adventures. He really could do everything. A tremendous loss.
Gotta do a triple Julian Sands blu ray watch from my collection this weekend; Gothic, Warlock and Boxing Helena. The man was a most talented, distinctive, charismatic and fascinating actor to watch on screen. My deepest condolences to his family and may he finally rest in peace.
It's worth remembering that warlock was released with unfinished special effects straight-to-video 2 years after its studio went bankrupt. In other words, it was a Captain America 1990 type situation except Captain America is a recognizable property with a built-in audience. But Julian sands was so good that his character was resurrected for a sequel by another studio. That's how well it performed in a strictly home video market. As the gentleman said in this video, he wasn't always in great movies, but he was always great in whatever he appeared in.
I totally agree, the man brought class and style to every role he played. There was so much more for him to do in a future that he didn't get. A sad passing.
I have never been enamoured with "celebrities", but Julian Sands is one of the few that touched me in some way. RIP Julian. 🌹🌹🌹🙏🙏🙏

Hearing this news definitely is a bummer. As a child of the 80s I watched Warlock 1 & 2, and Arachniphobia dozens of times. A true icon of the era. You will be missed.

I think a marathon is in order for Mr. Sands. His work inspired and entertained for generations. At least now his family can gain a little peace and closure.
RIP sweet Prince, thanks for the many hours of entertainment as a kid and as an adult.
Within a day or so of his disappearance I felt grief over his passing. That’s because as still considered missing I knew with the weather that sadly he had passed on. I think now the grief has passed and honestly I feel relief that his family can hopefully get answers and can finally put him to rest.

He’s in three of my favorite films OAT, Boxing Helena, A Room With A View, and Leaving Las Vegas. I’ve always liked him ever since seeing Warlock as a kid in the 90’s on a rented VHS (I was also a kid in the 90’s 👍🏼). And I always got a little excited when I’d see him pop up in something over the years. In the end, he died doing what he loved. If only we could all be so lucky. But that doesn’t mean it doesn’t really suck that he’s gone. RIP to the one of a kind Julian Sands. 🖤
RIP. Julian Sands was definitely great in every role he played. Was fortunate to meet him at Flashback Weekend in 2016 and he couldn’t have been nicer and more pleasant! I was actually intimidated because, he’s the fuckin’ Warlock! But my wife was completely geeking out while speaking with him. Such a lovely man. Cheers to him!

Great tribute video guys! RIP Julian Sands, Warlock 1 and 2 have always been my favorite! As Lance said anything I saw him in I'd always say "It's the Warlock!" I would constantly talk up those movies to everyone that I came across that had never seen or heard of them. May he rest in peace, that his family and friends now have closure, as well as, deepest condolences to his family. Glad I was able to meet at least once back in 2015, I told him straight up, I went to that con just to meet him and he just seemed so humbled by the comment and genuinely seemed to enjoy the fans. Didn't feel rushed or anything he took his time to talk to me and the other fans and that experience will always stick with me. Cheers gents and to Mr. Sands! #sandsisthewarlock

I met Mr. Sands in 2013, at Dragon-Con in Atl. He was incredibly engaging, kind and down to Earth... super talented and nice guy. This one really bothers me... but he left us a great body of work. Nice video.

I met Julian Sands on the set of Person of Interest. I was a big Warlock fan. He was a class act. Very down to Earth. RIP, Julian Sands.

It's Sands Season in my house after the sad but expected news, introducing my partner to Tale of a Vampire, Boxing Helena, Argento's Phantom, Warlock, Gothic and so many other overlooked classics over the coming weeks.

Pretty sad, when you go like this its hell for the family and friends, they learn he disappears, months go by but they were probably thinking.... maybe he's still alive, someway, somehow... tragic ending!! When John said, please dont let the year start like this, its a bad omen.... well im a Kobe Bryant fan, when he died with his daughter and friends in the start of 2020, i said the same thing has John said!!!
It`s sad, that he died so early. But my impression is, that before his death he enjoyed life. He loved to be in nature and rockclimbing. Also he was a wine connoisseur. As an actor he was professional, but modest and down to earth. Warlock will always be my favourite film of him, but concerning his roles he was more versatile as many people realized.
