  • A canoe paddle down the River Severn in the summer of 2010, from Shrewsbury down to Worcester. A distance of 65 miles in 4 days, camping at bankside campsites and pubs along the river. No capsizes but ported the canoe around the Ironbridge rapids.
Launched at Shrewsbury 0, then first night wild camping near Cressage 15, then canoed to Hampton Loade compsite 36, for second night, then to Holt Locke 57, then on last day canoed to Worcester 65.

well done chaps...even though it was a few years back it is still relevant today and very informative to those of us who are considering doing this trip or part of this trip ourselves.

I did a trip from bridgenorth back home to worcester, 2 days paddle and had to get out and walk part of the central bit of the river at Bewdley the water was so low. Just got back into canoeing so hopefully do the same trip again. Great father son team. Did you have any trouble with any lock keepers?
