I was there! My friend worked in the wardrobe department and I got to go for many recordings which was great! I went to see Marti for many of the weeks he was number one with this track and I have to say that he was looking directly at me standing in the middle at the back as he forgot his words?! Truth!! He was my ultimate crush back in those days!!
I know it's the Wets marathon on TOTP'94 at the minute...it was a mighty track though. Listening back to it, you'll not get this quality of song and production anymore, sadly. One of the last Titans at the top of the charts from a bygone age.
I think their clothes were probably meant to represent flower power and the 'Second Summer of Love' as I think 1994 may have been called. Or maybe it was the fashion in Capri, where I think they were recording at the time. ;)
