I've learned if you actively don't think about anything relevant to your life you have less depressing thoughts , and eventually you can have empty head, makes critical thinking impossible but as long as human interaction is minimal it's amazing My parents hate it but I'm too deep to climb out now

The focus on pulling out thoughts reminds me of a concept I had for telepaths that feed on people's stray thoughts and each person's thoughts "taste" different. So they seek out someone whose mind and thoughts they like and "taste" good, spending as much time as they can with that person
Came back to listen again and thought I’d drop some interesting knowledge. Theoretically, if these “bad thoughts” can be burned as a reliable heat source (that means not instantly like an explosive, but more of a slow, steady burn), they can simply be substituted into a reworked boiler system like the ones you find in a coal power plant. After all, to make electricity using modern steam turbines you just need a powerful, constant heat source and water. Maybe that knowledge would be helpful to any enterprising Pat Kats looking to expand their business!

The girls were harmless, friendly, and only wanted to help make the lives of those in the town better through their actions, sometimes questionable actions. They needed both the ooze from the dungeon and the good vibes from those who they interacted with to keep themselves going. Even if Baker Skitty sometimes had memory lapses, you'd still visit her, treat every time she treated you like a new customer as another chance to meet her again.
