I am listening to this on Martin Luther King, Jr., Day-January 17, 2022. We are in a time of great stress, loss, and struggle as the pandemic continues with huge numbers of new infections every day, a medical system that is breaking, a Senate that won't pass voting rights laws because all of GOP and a couple of Democrats won't make it possible, an ever-worsening climate crisis, the lasting damage from the January 6, 2021 insurrection and threat from anti-government militias and instigators of violence and white supremacists, and continuing push to make this country autocratic and fascist, and much more. It is too much to shoulder. Yet this is the anthem, the song that we need to hear over and over. Thank you for the spectacular performance. Who is the tenor soloist? WOW. And the entire choir is great. Congratulations Dr Jason Max Ferdinand.
Well, I sit listening to this rendition of We Shall Overcome with tears running down my face ... it is purely beautiful! I am in my 70's and was a teen during the Civil Rights Era and remember each and every incident, song, battle, murder, and the achievements and overcomings that transpired for our people, for all people, because of battles we fought and won. Thank you Aeolians of Oakwood University, young adults all, for your thoughtfulness, and for giving hope, inspiration and comfort, during these amazingly challenging times! I love you all ... my (grands and great-grands) children, our future, our comfort ... God please continue to bless, and cover their lives as warriors in this battle for peace and love, thru song and awareness, Amen.

See their faces! Hear their voices! They are not a threat, they are not a target! The time to change was yesterday so we need to work today! Everyday! God bless this community, and god bless their resilience. We are fighting with you
So beautiful. Thank you for this. I actually just used this to show my son this historic son while we are studying Rosa Parks. Thank you for allowing God to use you.
I lived through the Civil Rights era as a child and teen ager singing this song then so many times and now hearing it again in the context of this global crisis I am moved to tears and I am haunted by "we'll walk hand and hand some day...". Thank you for putting this beautiful song at there at this time with such skill and feeling.
I am a health care provider, this brought tears to my eyes. People please stay home, this is devastating our communities , taking love ones too soon. Peace
This was done before the current crisis, before the murder of George Floyd, before the demonstrations, protests and everything else. We have to be united. I needed to hear this song and clicked on the first one in the selections. We need to hear this song, more than ever. Thank you for this beautiful rendition. Most Disciplined group ive ever had the pleasure to see and hear, just gifted and blessed. Ive heard and singed all my life never have I been so blown away. Brilliant.
August 28, 1963 I want to Washington, DC for the march to see Dr. King. I was 19. I marched in the streets of NYC and stood on the steps of the courthouse during the arrest of the Panther 13. Yes I fought along side of so many people who fought for Civil Rights. Our movement freed everyone regardless of color because it was about human rights. And now as this virus is killing so many of us we will not be defeated because as always "WE RISE". Thank you for this beautiful beautiful version.
We need you to sing for us all again...please...It breaks my heart to see this and know that a mere six weeks later, we are so far from the spirit and beauty of this song. As a musician, I want to pour my heart and soul out in pain and sorrow. This rendition is so perfect and moving. Thank you. I am listening. I am gaining hope from your voices. Pablo Casals once said: "Perhaps it is music that will change the world." I believe that. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for spreading your love through music.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Beautiful song, beautiful singing, beautiful people. This is who we are at our best. A real bright spot in a dark time.
I'm putting this video on a slide deck for my students to celebrate Martin Luther King day 2021. You meant it for the pandemic, but it is more than that now. When I was in the womb, Dr. King was murdered. Now, the police in are on the other side. They are protecting America FROM the white supremecists. We haven't overcome yet, but we are overcoming! Your voices are gorgeous! So pure and true. Know that some children of many colors are inspired by you this week! God bless you.

Your lips to God’s ears. I pray with all my light that we shall walk in peace, hand in hand, some day soon. Very, very soon. God bless, and keep singing! Y’all are stunning.
This was so beautiful... and a healing salve for my tired soul. I was feeling particularly sad and weighted down by the suffering that so many are experiencing right now, but after hearing this I feel uplifted and hopeful. My deepest gratitude to the talented singers with ethereal sounding voices for creating this musical offering.. I feel touched by heaven itself after listening to this....
Magnificent! Thank you. I pray that one day you will have substantial reason to be "not afraid," and that this country will indeed "overcome" 400+ years of unconscionable behavior.
This anthem reverberated around the world during the Civil Rights Era. Its ardent message of Hope is as stunningly poignant today. Many Thanks, Aeolians for such a beautiful rendition.

Just brings tears to my eyes. This song is still so appropriate during this world storm and the protest that is going on today. God please breathe on us❣🛐✝️
Thanks Aeolian, Through your video, you show and sing our Hope in the face of our oppressive and disastrous reality, a social and health reality of struggles and anxieties. Our Hope is not a utopia, it is not just a dream which is solely nourished by edifying sermons or our religious education. It is also rooted in a topicality that is oh so confusing and strewn with hatred, torments and fears. This disturbing reality confirms and gives meaning to our ardent desire for this renewed tomorrow, this restored Eden where a tear will no longer be of pain. Someday, we shall, God’s children, shall overcome. This, is our HOPE
Stunning - just gorgeous. Was filled with so much pride watching and listening to the Aeoleans sing this timeless song. May God continue to bless those beautiful voices!
this anthem, sung today, takes us back to the history of it but then brings us to the present. It evokes something different today. Aeiolians - so grateful to you for touching our very souls today.
Hello, Aeolians of Oakwood U! I happened to hear a snippet of this magnificent song on "Democracy Now!" this morning, and had to come find it for the whole thing. I cannot offer any accolades that you haven't already gotten. HOWEVER - I counted 36 people. So, I would advise those who manufacture the Stellar Awards, the Grammys, the ones from Lincoln Center - they need to get to work, 'cause they have a lot to pass out when this is over. You are the BEST. God bless you all, and stay safe in these weird times.
Absolutely beautiful and truly uplifting, especially in a time when our spirits and souls are sorely tested. This rendition of the song brings chills up and down my spine. Gifted young people, gifted director, much gratitude for sharing your Godgiven talent.
After the events of the 2020 and January 6th 2021 this is a welcome reminder that love always overcomes and overwhelms hate. Thank you for this beautiful rendition Aeolians.
Thank you Dr. Ferdinand and the Beloved Aeolians! A phenomenal choir that I listen to everyday. A devine message you bring that touches the depth of the soul. Can't wait until you begin to tour in the states again.
What a beautiful and uplifting song to all on this journey called life! We can all learn from this pandemic situation and become a stronger and more loving person.

Apocalyptic Poem
Revelation 6
The red, black and pale horses ride with thunder...
Thunderous clouds of hail and snow
Bringing cold wherever they go
Reaching to lands far and wide
Going to affect many new brides
Not what they had planned for their wedding days
Psychopathic games being played
Games of hunger, death and thrones
Ice reaching inside, inside to their bones
Reaching the marrow, harrowing thoughts
Causing divisions of all sorts
Dichotomies of mind
Tipping the scales away from man being kind.
Tipping to fractions of slated grey
Slavery to states of being not gay
Slavery to hunger, thirst and no day
Slavery to making no hay.
Slavery riding into the day
Galloping our freedoms away
Causing our blood to rage like the sea
Burning as an ember tree
Causing the charcoal to burn somewhere new
Making potash, a chance to renew
Time to release the pure white horse
Jousting with the paler horse
Knocking him far off course
With a new form of discourse
The red horse cannot fail to stumble
Causing all the greed to crumble
Causing the black horse to turn his back
And turn around and head right back
Into the darkness, the density.
Time to bring out the city of Gold
That we have been waiting since times of old
Galloping white horses bringing the food
To avoid those negative moods
Making fields of darkness white like snow
Placing footprints showing which way to go.
From Parousia, Love's Light by Francess.
I use 'gay' as in happy.
'Reaching the marrow harrowing thoughts causing divisions of all sorts' = cancer and other blood diseases from stress.

Shuuuuuu! The arrangement and the voices match as hand in glove. The Lord be praised for the timely message!
Stunning - just gorgeous. Was filled with so much pride watching and listening to the Aeoleans sing this timeless song. May God continue to bless those beautiful voices!
Beautiful arrangement! What a fabulous tenor lead! What beautiful voices and faces - thank you for sharing your God-given talents.
God please keep you safe. You are beautiful in every way. You bring such joy to us all.
this anthem, sung today, takes us back to the history of it but then brings us to the present.
Today. THIS. We shall not be afraid. So lovely, yall. Thank you. ❤❤❤
Beautiful. Words can really not describe. I am hopeful for the future. We shall overcome. Yes We the People will.
