tbh i learned that u dont have to pay $15+ for an album card thats already still in print... idk why some people price it so high. also you dont have to buy everything ur faves come out with because it'll add up in the end and you just won't be happy later on.
Not to buy the first listing you see , i did buy some super junior pc back then for such an expensive price 😂
Shop around on more than one platform. Sometimes you can only find a card on one platform, but make sure that's the case before you overspend on a card.

Collecting is definitely not a race and I feel like during covid a lot of people decided to focus more on their fav groups and collect in a less stressful way. However I need to say I avoid collectors who collect the same groups or members as me because usually they´re super fast and it does still stress me a bit. Like... if this person is able to make this good progress, how is it that I´m behind so much?? (Do I make sense here?) But I dont collect MX or Skz or SVT so your channel is really fun, also because you´re videos are sooo long ^^ Greetings~
I've been collecting photocards for almost 3 years now and my biggest bit of advice that I've learned the hard way is that if a collection is going to get harder to work on as time goes by, example: albums already out of print and have been for awhile, prioritize that collection.
If I had prioritized my second generation collections when I started collecting, I'd probably have them finished by now and for my Jonghyun collection, probably for a fraction of what the total price is going to end up being.
European collector here and I never heard of a mercari EU haha. I always pass through mercari japan/neokyo and european goms seems to always do so too! Love your videos!!
mercari EU would be something tho haha. But a lot of EU based people do GOs for mercari items so even people who might be insecure about using it themselves are still able to get cards for super cheap from it ^^

As a 14 y/o with a mom that is rlly good and lets me get the stuff I want when she can. I find it hard to start a collection and idk where to start and how to has my mom for paper cardboard pictures of my biases 🙆🏻♀️
i’m 14 too and it’s kinda hard bc i sometimes wanna get pcs but idk how my mom is gonna react to that and i imagine her saying “ oh why so much for a piece cardboard “ so i’m scared to even ask lol and i don’t have a bank acc so i can’t buy them myself:(

Great advice,My first mistake was trying to collect as much of my bts biasline(jin,hobi and Jimin)i went in too fast,brought from the first place i saw them and didn't know about the atrocious member pricing-so lockdown i asked my collecting friends for places i could buy from and discovered buyee and mercari and grew my collection slowly,so when it came to adding new groups i could add sensibly, I found any advice i was given helped me immensely.
I now collect Jake Enhypen and am starting my WEi Yohan collection at a slow pace-i am doing the first album,then will start looking for the 2nd album PCs at a rate where i am comfortable.
My best advice is IT"s not a race or competition do it at your own pace and definitely shop around

I havent had any issues with either yet

This was a really helpful video! I've been interested in dipping my toe in pc collecting especially since I've moved to Korea but I've had a hard time figuring out what I'm doing. Even tho things are pretty cheap overall, a lot of the lingo is different in Korean, and of course the brands, binders etc. are different. It's funny tho cause SKZ isn't very popular here so I never have a problem getting my hands on any of their stuff.

I am a obsessive pc collector. but my recommendation to fans who want to start collecting that there is not much method to actually collect. The best way is to just buy bulk albums as you can get different pcs per album you buy. Similarly POB are given per album you buy. But we all know that we don't want the album itself, we only want the pcs which is why after you extract the cards, the albums are more or less useless. At most you keep one or two copies as your own then the rest is technically useless since you have removed the cards inside and typically no one would buy that album anymore from you.
Twice and The Boyz are my favorites to collect because they always have great photocards. Trying to collect every card of my favorite members is too overwhelming for me, so I just try to collect the cards that appeal to me most. I try to collect at least one card of each of member of my favorite groups though.
To let you know for the two pockets sleeves from Ultra pro are slightly smaller than the BCW so for exemple the bts postcard that comes in a photobook don't fit in ultra pro 2 pockets.
Buyee and Mercari Jp have an agreementin which isn't allowed to add any new listings straight away, this is to give Japanese customers priority. Neokyo doesn't have this so you can buy new listings which means that you can often find more popular items and cheaper items on there.
Me, kpop stan since 2016, is really thankful for this because I never understood pob and fan signs lol
most european countries have their own mercaris/websites like that. there isn’t a continent wide one though. OLX is pretty common, it’s similar to mercari

I already “collect” pcs mostly album ones but i want to collect more outside of the albums i buy this video was very helpful but i know ima struggle a bit considering i want to collect nct, svt, tbz for now and they have quite a few of members plus some of my biases are so hard to pull (im looking at you johnny 👀) plus they have so many cards i would like to collect all the members but to start ima collect my biases
i always thought of collecting as a competitive race as some members are popular and hardly available to trade/buy. i originally planned on trading to collect felix but ended up buying most of his pcs costing $600 😭

i started colleting photocards and not remembering to get a binder or sleeves so i used the twice pob sleeves ( the sleeve thing that twice puts their pob photocards 😭)
I'd like to know how you handle 1) more expensive cards and 2) Polaroids. I've been considering keeping them in top loaders and putting the top loaders in the binder.
I have 9 pocketsleeves, but I don’t know if they’re pvc free, but I use pvc and acid free Sleeves. Is that enough to protect my pc’s or should I switch 9 pocket sleeves?

A little late but as a collector who started to collect all the groups I do after they debuted and recently deciding to collect a pre-debut (now almost debut) group, do you have to prepare to keep collecting them in the future? Like is it better to start from debut and try to get everything from that era, in that era or space everything out and collect things from like the debut era in like the next comeback? Basically, is it better to collect a debut group with the knowledge everything will get harder to find as time goes on or just hope that everything stays equally available?
I started a seventeen collection, so my plan is collecting 3 members from your choice onward (dk,scoups and boo). Then will collect an ode & hengare for dk and scoups. For older albums which I won’t worry about now lol, only dk. And I only going to collect 9 pocket inclusions, some times will collect dk special cards. Rarely and no target inclusive cards lol.

I want to say thank you because when I started collecting in 2020 and not sure if this was because I collect mostly BTS but there was more of the talks of “I feel sorry for anyone wanting to collect now”. it was a little discouraging to hear at times. Any opinions on side loading pages, popcorn sleeves, and ultra pro deck protectors sleeves?
I use BoardM sleeves which are similar to Popcorn sleeves, and I think they're pretty good. Especially for someone that has a budget and is only starting out. I believe Popcorn sleeves are a bit thicker than BoardM sleeves too. I often stress out about sleeves since Dragon Shield that everyone uses are so expensive when I convert it to my currency. So BoardM sleeves are perfect for me since they're way cheaper and way more accessible for me.
PS: Popcorn sleeves are known for inaccurate sizings so be careful when you get them since the sleeves are bigger than what it says on the packaging.

@@hanihoney17 I heard that it’s slightly less thick but I think it’s unnoticeable. Popcorn thick sleeves come in a 50 pack over 100 pack so I prefer BoardM because of that plus the sizing is more accurate.
