Hi thanks for joining me on this dawn walk through this beautiful little village. My video camera struggled a bit in the low light, but before, during, and after the walk I took a few pictures with my better camera. If you'd like to see a few photos from the village in early morning you can check them out here: bit.ly/Kayabuki_no_Sato_Gallery - it's on Patreon but the gallery can be freely accessed. Also sorry for the backpack noise in this one, I am still struggling with how best to record high quality audio while on the move. The sounds from the flowing water, frogs, birds, and insects in this village were amazing and I wish it was captured more cleanly. Thanks again for joining me and see you on down the road.
All I want to say is that this video purveyed a profound sense of serenity like I haven't felt in a long time. Living in a large city, I was craving for this tranquility, beauty and nature, so I thank you deeply for it. I only wish I was there, treading those paths myself on my own feet. All the best to you, my friend.
This Video was fabulous, kinda nostalgic but doesn’t exist in my life. Like a little Shirakawa-go but not crowded loving it. Walking from dusk that’s so peaceful
I love the thatched roofs, the wild flowers and the shadows of the mountains in the fog. What a beautiful neighborhood to visit! The view while crossing the bridge to the other side is spectacular and breathtaking, it makes you feel spiritual for a moment. Camping out by the Yura River the night before must be a nice experience. Great video, thank you.
Thank you : ) and yes the river at night was quite nice. There were fireflies, a bit of light rain, then the clouds left and the night sky was full of stars.
Very good your vedio and so beautiful village and villagers. We want same thath vedios. I like to Japane and Japanese manners. Very good designer's .thanks for your vedio. Sri Lanka.
Ambient Exploration: My second viewing of the magnificent foothill mountain village in the Miyama countryside with its beautiful traditional thatched roofed wooden homes. The small village is so well kept and picturesque, it almost looks like a well preserved museum setting. Someone might have wonderfully scattered those daisy white flower seeds so they grow randomly amongst the roadside, pathways, and homes, so lovely to see Amazing video of this truly unique tranquil setting. Happy Safe Travels, Margie
Your sense of composition, lighting, exposure, is really evocative. Watching a sleepy Japanese village and valley, wake up from a peaceful slumber to a brand new beautiful morning is spiritual.
The surrounding mountains and forests give this area a somewhat claustrophobic feel. But there is a certain charm in the melancholy feeling of Japanese villages of this kind.
I'm watching while studying at my desk, looking up occasionally, always listening. Such a variety of views and sounds in one little village, the river, the hillside walk up to the shrine area, all the deeply slanted thatched roofs, probably means it snows a lot in the winter. Hi from Arizona USA!
Hello there! It is nice to get such a diverse soundscape in this little village. And definitely worth a trip back in the winter with hopefully a bit of snow on those slanted thatched roofs.
At the beginning, the little bench that was overlooking the village? That would be an incredible spot to watch sunsets. Honestly, I wonder what is the magic formula that creates such peaceful places like this. It's literally a slice of heaven.
Ambient Exploration: Fabulous Dawn Walk at Kayabuki No Sato, in Miyama, Japan! The misty mountain-top fog shrouded village is the perfect setting for my 97 minute treadmill walk alongside you this morning! Yes, I lasted the entire video this time because of the wondrous sights you captured, and I kept telling myself, "You can do it!" I did notice more ads compared to your other videos and I hope they are sponsoring you. Don't be concerned about the ads because they didn't detract from the amazing footage you took. The village with its wild flowers lining the country roadways, the thatched roofs, waterways, and flooded rice fields were so beautiful to view. Just keep in mind to go half the speed when panning. The shot over the bridge with the river below was near perfect. Thank you for your time, cinematographic skill, and your great camera gear! (I loved hearing the gravel crunch beneath your feet, the birds singing, and the rushing river!) Happy Safe Journeying, Margie
Thank you, and glad you could extend your treadmill session. The village is quite beautiful and the area is quite beautiful also, so much so that I stayed the night and filmed a couple more walks. And thanks for your patience with the ads, I let TH-cam take the wheel and it must have decided you were particularly ad-worthy this time. If it's any consolation, they do help offset the costs of going to these interesting and making these videos. Happy treadmilling : )
Such a magical place. How lucky are the people who live here in this lovely village full of wild flowers everywhere. The mist filling the valleys was just so ethereal. Magnificent filming Sir…thank you so so much! 💕✨✨✨✨
It's nice to know that in this moment from all over the world many strangers are listening to this beautiful music. Someone Is crying, others smiling, someone Is studying or falling asleep, someone else is hoping that tomorrow will be a better day. Even if i will never meet you i wish you a happy life. However you too are part of my happiness when in the evening or in the morning we will find ourselves here listening to the same beautiful music.❤💛💙👻
The frogs have a lot to do this season, very busy indeed. The old style post boxes are a bit of a rarity but they do exist in a few places with more traditional flavor.
Are there any inns or lodges nearby. It would be lovely to stay a day or two to do the walks you did. Your video has such a calming effect on the mind. Thank you.
It is quite beautiful, but also quiet touristy during the day. People do live in many of the houses, and there is at least one inn, a few small eateries as well. I was actually just back here last weekend filming in the early evening and there were still a few visitors around at that time.
Thank you, and as for trails, there is a small trail on the mountain behind the village to a lookout point but it is pretty short. I've also seen photographic evidence of hikers leaving from the village and heading high up the mountain but I wasn't able to find the trailhead. It must be around here somewhere, and there are also many trails outside this area, some more accessible and some more remote. Hopefully you can travel Japan one of these days and explore the many mountain hikes throughout the country.
Lovely scenery!!! Are the wired fences connected to any source of electricity? I was wondering how come you didn't come across any barking dog or any waving person! Do you do these walks too early in the morning?
Thanks! Most if not all of the fences in this village are un-electrified, though some in other villages are. This village sees hundreds or sometimes thousands of tourists during the day so I wanted to avoid the crowds with an early start, I also was hoping for some fog or mist at that hour. I did cross paths with a man making an early morning milk delivery just before I started recording and he said hello. I also did a walk in the early evening when more people are out and about, I've got a few other videos in the queue but it'll be posted in a month or so if you're interested what the village is like at a slightly more active time of day.
Oh I wish I could go here. I'm planning a trip to Japan, but won't have a car and don't speak Japanese (yet). Is there lodging or a bus that goes here? I love to sit in quiet places and paint them.
Painting while traveling sounds like a great combination! It seems possible to get to here with a combination of train and bus from Kyoto Station, and there is at least one inn in the village. One thing to keep in mind is that this is a somewhat popular tourist attraction, so during the day it can be pretty busy. The quiet times are early in the morning or evening.
Glad to hear it! There must be a lot of interesting places in the cities and nature to explore over there. Now that I think about it, I don't think I've ever seen a Korean village, it would be very interesting to see some scenes from over there. Best of luck with your channel!
Thank you! On this walk I used the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 with Clippy mics into a Zoom F3. I'm still experimenting, trying to find a good combination that allows me to freely move through the space while also capturing the sights and sounds at a high enough quality. The journey continues...
@@ambient_exploration I really think your quality is top-notch! Thank you for sharing. You've inspired me to start my own TH-cam channel in Portugal :)
Maybe weird question. When you do the editing of your videos. Do you use something like the plugins from Izotope to cut out breathing noises? Or do you walk in a pace where you dont get exhausted 🙂and also... you're doing a really good job with these videos.
Thank you! And actualy I do use Izotope to edit the audio on some occasions, but it's mostly to remove noise my backpack decides to make😆 Generally I walk at a slow pace to smooth out the footage as much as possible and avoid breathing too loudly. But of course there's still a lot of room to improve.
I was wondering that myself. I think the tools on display around the town are primarily used for traditional rice harvesting and processing. There is a small museum in town, it would be interesting to go back when it's open and learn more.
@@ambient_exploration yeah right. i'm planning to go somewhen from hokkaido down to hiroshima. in kansai there's already a lot of fun stuff... chugoku currently "only" has takehara on the list, which is already a big stop but still. but i'm basically looking for stuff exactly like this. calm little villages where you can relax your soul, wander, eat something, and enjoy life. sadly i'm not a summer creature so i will go in early spring, which is a bit sad because i won't be able to see the rice fields, but maybe i'll be able to see some cherry blossoms.
