My son works at Bandit... they call him the dentist ... he wields the teeth on the cutter drums and the feed wheels... all the wields are done freehand at Bandit..
This must of been the chipper I saw being used when the highway was extended two lanes plus another fifty feet of cleared land...they had four long reach excavators they worked together and devoured every tree and rootball...This beast was unstoppable..In two weeks, two miles of trees were gone, simply amazing
Those old trees and stumps collected during tree harvest can now be made into pulp wood or used to fuel the equipment to make electricity for the mill. Great video....
I worked for somone who had 1 that magnetic feature is amazing and pulls out so much metal that u didnt even see going in after 2 hours of use i would say we processed almost 200 yards of wood chips
A hugely effective and well designed machine, operating with a smooth and untroubled efficiency; which makes the choice to use thrash-metal music even weirder. Is someone trying to convince us that their job is more exciting than reality would suggest?
Yeah, if I was the excavator operator feeding utterly ginormous trees down the throat of this behemoth to turn them into massive piles of wood chips, I’d probably be laughing maniacally and thinking to myself “Ha ha, take that nature, your absolutely ginormous trees are absolutely no match for this equally massive behemoth of a wood chipper!”
Grant W. Whitwam I have family in the business and a lot gets sold to power plants for burning to make steam then power you know the process but that is how a lot of California gets its power made all the produce tread only produce for a few years so what do you do with the orchards you grind them to make power 20 years ago they use to put in a giant pile and let them just burn
Saw this machine on swamp loggers Bobby was thinking about buying one I don't think he did. They use a lot of fuel and you would reallocated have to set down and count the cost against selling the chips and transport etc.

5:02 The Model 3680 Beast Recycler has been Bandit's most popular waste reduction unit for its ability to turn unwanted wasted into usable end products.
Wayne Cox I’ve put stumps thru them from the whole tree and stumps only with some dirt still in them I can usually get nearly all of it off but some trees it’s tough to get them clean, they slow it down a little but send’em on thru
There are many different available options that effect the price of this machine. Please contact Bandit Industries at 1-800-952-0178 or visit www.banditchippers.com/bandit_equipment/product_line/product/88 for more information on this unit (Engine, Capacity, Size, Etc).
This great video could have been even much better without the amateurish adding of this way too loud, annoying and distracting "background" music! What a bad marketing/advertising department must this company have!?
So, I guess the chips have to be dried first, as no one burns 'green wood'? I suppose the main advantage with reducing the wood to CHIPS, must be just for ease of HANDLING afterwards and ease of DRYING; because the net calorific output appears to be NEGATIVE! As diesel is required for the chipping and then more fuel input for drying(?), before the product is suitable for burning, -to get heat!
Also, many companies and municipalities will collect old Christmas trees, pruned branches, deadfall limbs, etc- chip/mulch them, and leave them in piles which are turned every few months. Within 1-2 years they compost down into valuable, rich soil. Also, wood chips are usable in many livestock bedding to absorb the liquid from the manure/waste. Again, this is composted for soil improvements. Finally, wood chips can be blown into long fabric tubes "socks" which are used to contain and absorb oil spills etc. there are a lot of various uses for chips.

Yep, it must have taken at least two of these monsters with a pair of excavators to feed them to devour that many trees that fast
Those old trees and stumps collected during tree harvest can now be made into pulp wood or used to fuel the equipment to make electricity for the mill.

Very impressive, I'm not in the biz, but, I hope a lot of the end product goes for making chip board or similar uses.
