    Trading is like a one night stand

    No matter how good you are at analysis, you can never know 100% if that single trade you took based on a specific analysis will be a winning trade or a loosing trade. always remember you are working with probabilities.

    Respect for these videos Adam. I'm 19 and starting to find the Stock Market extremely interesting. Your videos are very helpful, and have stopped me from putting any money on stocks yet, so I can properly learn about how it works. I think a lot of people don't get the return they are looking for because they follow trends, but also because they haven't properly studied the in's and out's of the game. Thank you for sharing your knowledge!

    For me, stock investing (long term trades) are done with multi-year plan, with high tolerance for risk (small positions relative to overall portfolio value). Both trading and stock investing should be done with intent to exit the trade at some high/low price, and some risk management (e.g. long term stop loss) to preserve at least some of the capital, in case of bad luck. Investing should still be done with intent to buy in at good (low) prices based on the multi-year chart average value of stock. One has to keep in mind that a lot of companies go bankrupt and their stocks cease to exist over long time, so not having any stop loss. The good thing about investing is that you are emotionally uninterested in the stock, day to day. If investing gives you mood swings, you are putting far too much capital into the investment. Decrease the investment amount, or find an alternate that has more predictable return on equity. Investing and trading, it doesn't pay to be too greedy for exit money. Always have some figure that you feel shows that the investment has matured and should be culled for profit.

    How do you manage how much money to invest and how much to trade if I want to do both ? Like IF i had 20K. I want to both invest and trade. What kind of money should I put aside for each, or maybe that doesnt matter.... ?

    • @qb5647
      @qb5647 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Michael Miranda you can put in $15k for investing and $5k for trading.
      But it’s better to speak with an expert stock trader..

    • @D3STINY22
      @D3STINY22 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Up to you on what kind of investor/trader you are. As for me I'm a swing trader so I would put most of my money as a trader. It also makes more sense for me to be a trader as the market is bearish right now. However the market will snap back up and it'd be a great time to invest on big companies like alphabet or Nike, or those sorts since they won't go away in anytime soon

    can you tell me if this strategy is the best of both worlds? Ideally I would like to hold 500 shares AAPL long, however current position currently holds 800 shares. I am thinking when AAPL shares peak, like today almost 230.00 to sell 300 shares and if price dips repurchase and repeat. If for some reason AAPL never dips again then i have my original plan of 500 to continue long. Is there any reason NOT to do this?

      You add company's assets and profit potential. IV is an estimate. You can arrive at this estimate by research through info about the company. Start at balance sheet and annual reorts.
