Maxed it out today and fumbled a +74% chaos attacks buff run on only 4 fear. Pro tip; never take big chop hammer if your build is a spin to win one. You will have to dash attack every time you want to omega attack ; _ ;
that killed my run yesterday xD it wasn't a great one to be fair but i was still upset that the omega attack was altered. if they fix that then i feel like it could make a spin to win build pretty disgusting
big chop in general is bad its just too slow unless you get super lucky and get bunch of attack speed

I tried a low health build with related arcana atk buff and artemis keepsake. The big chop with Aphrodite boons hit for 3661 dmg(20% crit from Thanatos Aspects as well). It's was crazy nuking bosses but risky as well cause you always want to keep health below 30 hp -.-
I did a similar thing before I had aspects and somehow clutched out my first chronos kill, definitely would've been easier if I could've spun.
I think landmine guys are my new most hated enemy type.

Depending on my build they just mess with me, especially my zero mana builds (which are surprisingly powerful)
@@joshuaberkstresser7730The punch guys aren't too bad, kite them into a cast and they're sitting ducks. Landmine guys have earned their eternity in hell.
@@joshuaberkstresser7730 eh... the boxers are big and obvious and can easily be handled with a cast puddle. But the mine guy's pump out so many mines and they blend into the fields color palette. Now where is safe.

Got my first Chronos kill running the scythe aspect, aphro attack, and the hammer for the omega attack (the one that lets you use your other attacks during the whirlwind). Being able to dash while the whirlwind is active makes all the difference. Absolutely insane damage.

@@eloelo6944You have to have all weapons and then speak with Hecate during a run to get the incantation to unlock it. Her dialogue seems to rotate so it may take a few tries.

If you guys want a free win just put on storm drain (Zeus cast) and preferably glowing coal with this Thanatos aspect it is a free win. Each lightning adds a percent of crit chance and also each lightning has that chance to crit
Demeter on than aspect goes insane with the boon that gives 100% omega attack damage
Makes sense a scythe is for reaping
Healthy Rebound is a lot better than it looks when ya remember that fountains give 40% health, and that surge will almost certainly push you to 100% health paired with that boon

Fun fact- if you have a familiar it can actually block Hecate's morph attack if you position yourself properly.

Best use of Ash after unlocking all Arcana that I've found so far is using it to craft Shadow, which can then be used with a Cinder to craft 8 Moon Dust
I get all my Moon Dust from Charon. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
If you didnt know Axes special blocks any orb Chronos spawns. Its great to block a couple then move in to give gramps a nice slicy hug

Useful tech - if you charge the spin and spacebar instead of letting go, you will dash before you spin

Insane Combo for Whirlwind is being able to use attacks / move while whirling + shooting your whirlwind out. Combine this with Aphrodite + Poseidon. Dual boon makes it so it doesnt matter if you are in melee range. You can basically constantly shoot (with slow time) your whirl and reposition and right away shoot another. I almost got chronos 20 with it but got killed at 30 % /cry
28:20 I think you'd get revenge hitch up pretty frequently on Chronos, so that duo is basically +20% damage to Chronos

The one complaint I have up until now is that I feel there should be some crazier Hammers. In Hades 1 there were some hammers that really changed how the weapons work, like the Rocket Launcher and the shotgun for the Railgun, or the explosive arrows and multishot for the bow. The closest I've seen to something like that is the big chop hammer for the axe.
theres a duo boon that gives 200% special and attack dmg as long as you dont have boons on the attack and special so thats an alternative to aphrodite
Omega Attack/Special boons count? I don't remember off the top of my head if they fill the slot or not.
@@VideoKingist cant say for certain but usually not, likewise you can have say an attack boon and your attack wont get the 200% but the special still will

apollo is good one for the axe special build, there's the one hammer that doubles the projectiles for the omega special, combined with the overlapping enlarged hitbox from apollo, hits like truck from far distances
Godpool is three, plus Selene and Hermes, plus random Artemis and Chaos. Additional boons are also offered by surface friends, but Chaos is unavailable. Hades also is available 95% of the time in Tartarus.
This is always my go to build. So good.
I just got an accidental build on the staff that is pretty stupid as a melee weapon. Faster than the daggers too. I believe its apollo that has a boon that gives a chance to hit twice, one hammer that guarantees that you hit twice, and one more hammer that makes you attack rapidly at the cost of your omega attack. Was going for the hammer that shoots 2 specials and ended with that monstrosity. Was mad at first until i realized i was dishing out 1k damage quick with the Aphrodite common attack boons at LEVEL 1. Imagine the damage you could get if you get a rare version at level 3. Overall, staff is gonna be my go to weapon from now on.
Need this at max so I can use it with 20% crit chance
Honestly maybe a good thing that Artemis isn't usually in the game, otherwise PP + Hunter's Mark would be too powerful with some of these builds xD

Stupid/silly build setup idea:
Disable all except 3 of your cards to get the 0 grasp card in the bottom right corner
Don't increase your max HP
Artemis's Antler keepsake the whole run
Kitty DDs that only gives you 10 HP
Simply do not get hit 4Head
with the bottom right arcana if you ressurect a boss through the lunar ability it gives you 3 cards AGAIN when it dies

15:13 I don't know if its intentional (i have a feeling its not), but I had a run where I took the well of charon item to guarantee a chaos gate where next possible, and it spawned in asphodel making it impossible to access since you'll get teleported out as soon as you finish the challenge in there
did this up in greece for some Testament progress against Polyphemus, surprisingly effective
honestly more then anything it's that Demeter carries runs so hard, giving Origination on a single cast is so strong, double that with aphro attack those two together can basically carry and you just need a third god for the mana regen boon (since both theirs are kinda doo doo)

have you tried pan aspect with poseidon special? it’s so easy to build, all you need to do is pom the special and get the poseidon legendary and you’re doing 800 - 1k per omega special (with fully upgraded aspect)
I love Aphrodite’s new boons. Like I one stacked her up to above 250% damage bonus up close. With the axe. So I was charging up to do 175 per hit in a spin, just in raw damage.
It's so fun seeing the master at work.
Any tips on Oceanus area? I am really struggling with the armour and confined spaces in that area. Thanks.
Make use of the Traps... And your Binding Circle 👀
It was definitely a wall for me when I first started but abusing your cast circle and the trap/environment is paramount until you unlock better upgrades.
Dont know how many people found it already but in the Hecate fight when she shoots the polymorph orb, you can run it into your familiar to immediately get rid of it.
How to meet the cat again to make him a familiar? i only got to meet him once right before i got to make the cookies

Soul Mate is interesting, it's guaranteed P-Status if you can put out Hitch, but like so can your cast if you've got Demeter
I was one shotting mini-bosses in Tartarus with aspect of Charon, poseidon cast, and Haephestus special. Once p-status procs it's over.
I really love the axe since we never had a big hitter weapon in the previous game

7:14 two of my friends started playing Hades 1 recently. One of them has been playing for a week, another one is starting today (now that he's got a new Xbox controller that isn't broken)
I'm very excited to be able to sit in a discord call with them and see what weapons they like using and what boons they think are good and wondering if I was as bad when I was new as they are now LMFAOOOO ♥️😋
Told them both to hold off on Hades 2 until there's a sale going on simply because the games are different enough, they're still super new to #1, and I don't want them to have the story spoiled lol
Hades 2 100% worth even now don't see them putting it on sale for a long time, maybe some bundles deals tho

I'm surprised they didn't give Than's Aspect an effect similar to the Butterfly in Hades 1, but I'm so glad they went with this instead. I love crit builds
Demeter has a boon that makes u deal a lot more damage with the omega attack for only +10 mana. It's very OP it made me finish cerburs in like 40sec

One thing I'm curious to hear about: why do you not seem to rate the Hermes boon 'Hard Target' at all? The reduced projectile speed seems pretty good when I try it for many of the bosses and also for some enemies in small rooms that love to fill the screen with bullshit.

Yup!
I don't know if it's a glitch, but while using this aspect if you get the hammer that lets you attack and special while in your whirlwind, only the first hit of the whirlwind counts as a stack. So I'd recommend not taking that hammer with this aspect.

How do you unlock the Aspects?
Soul mate is actually better than it seems at first glance, I'd have to say. while the limited hitch is a downside, it makes PS way way easier to apply and keep up 100% when your main damage comes from a hitch inducing attack, and is essentially a flat 20% damage increase.
Hera is very nice with spin builds
You could have gotten heroic boons with that Hera you skipped. Fun run to watch though!
My friend played Hades 1 a lot but i never touched it, now I downloaded Hades II because he got me into slay the spire and roguelike's that way

There is a strange quark I found that I really don't like with aspect of Thanatos. If you take the hammer that makes it so you can use your normal attack while your omega attack is going, you will only get a 1% increase on your crit chance even if the omega hits an enemy multiple times. I dont really know why that's the case but it's a hammer that is probably worth avoiding with that aspect unless it gets changed (or fixed if it's not intentional)

I feel like that chronos dialogue before the fight confirms that the 6th weapon won’t be a scythe, which was a common theory
the craziest thing is this isnt max crit. than scythe goes up to 20% crit chance. such a satisfying weapon to use
They unfortunately broke Thanatos Aspect with the most recent update. I don’t know if it’s a bug or an intended nerf, but now getting Psychic Whirlwind or the upgrade that sends the whirlwind out in front of you makes the crit chance only go up by 1% regardless of how many times you hit with the whirlwind.

Yeah it is. To unlock aspects you have to have all weapons unlocked and do the incantation that opens the warded door to the [spoiler]

Why not hephy on the special? I feelt it was super strong, bucause it can be proced by taping special when point blank and at that point it is free 400 dmg every 20 seconds. It's super quick

Its an Aspect for the Axe.
haphaestus blast effect can crit, i've seen it.
Idk about you guys, but I found it way harder to get going in this game when I first bought it than Hades 1. Then I got through 10 or so runs, and it’s become a little too easy. I feel like Elysium used to buffer builds that were bad but I can basically walk to Chronos every run now lol
shame its bugged with the "attack while using omega attack" and "omega attack flies forwards" hammers, each spin stops giving 1% crit each, and it just becomes 1% for the entire omega attack

Haven't played this game yet, but it definitely looks like Chronos is much more difficult than Hades.
Its because Chronos has Terrible Telegraphing and Wonky Hitboxes....
Or maybe they were both Terrible but it's Harder to tell than Hades because Zagreus can Chain dashes Together for Increased Invulnerability. 🤔
hades 1 never fully clicked for me. i still put a few dozen hours into it but i never persevered and beat the game

It's 100% worth revisiting now that you've gotten the bug. It's still an amazing game and stands alone quite nicely - I don't think one replaces the other, they both excel in different ways. Once you feel like you're full up on what EA Hades2 has to offer I'd really recommend going back and diving in, there's SO much to sink your teeth into, plus all of the character relationships and lore will help enhance your H2 experience when it finally launches.
wait till you try chronos on 20 fear....in order to get to 20 you have take the fears that power the mobs up AVOID the one that makes them faster cause it makes chronos almost impossible lol
Im not a fan of daggers, i prefer the axe its so much more fun and does a ton of damage!
