I met the Shah while vacationing on Contadora Island in Panama. We used to walk along the beach and he would tell me stories of life in Iran, his family and how the Carter Administration undercut everything he tried to do for his people.I can only say what a kind and gentle man he was.I cherish this memory and the knowledge I gained from him.He passed away only 6 months later.RIP Reza

What a tragedy for the Royal Pahalvi family. I remember my childhoold days in Tehran during the summer vacations spent there in that grand city called Tehran, as well as the other cities like Esfahan etc. that we had visited.
kids grow up and start have their own minds and understandings. They grew up in controversial family. It seems Farahnaz and Ali Reza couldn't cope with the past. Its ok. It happens to all classes rich or poor. It doesn't really matter. I am pretty sure the older brother is carrying all stress of losing his siblings!
