What carnage. The only soldiers there who were trained to stand and keep firing until shot were the redcoats. The modern units' style of warfare is more guerilla tactics, typically. This gave a good impression of 17th to 19th century warfare.
I am pleasantly surprised by the accuracy of the game. Of COURSE long range weapons should prevail over more potent but short range ones. I was also surprised by how many redcoats made it to the last fight.
@@xhagast Yeah. In real life a good musketeer shoots perhaps three rounds a minute when a Kar98 rifleman shoots more than 15. The musket is about as accurate on 100 meters than the Kar98 is on 500. The British Brown Bess muskets of the era didn't even have sights. On short ranges the stopping power for a musket and Kar98 is about the same. Of course the better ballistics and higher velocity of the Kar98 bullet makes it accurate and lethal on ranges where the musket ball isn't even able to fly. ; )
Curious if this game allows: 1. Limited ammunition per participant 2. Not allowing firing from the back rows, to prevent friendly fire. 2a. Firing from front rows only.

Imagine having machine guns and losing to guys with muskets. I almost feel bad for the Americans here.
They need a M1 Garand class for the Americans in this game and a MP40/STG class for the Germans.
