Same. Brad's videos trump both college and bootcamp and you can learn coding without counterproductive artificial pressures to satisfy arbitrary college and capricious boot camp timelines. There's no way to accelerate learning to code. Everyone has their own pace and coding consistently yields the most return over a period of time, not learning in a herd like livestock, always being chased by proverbial sheep dogs, forcing the flock to abandon one subject not well understood to move to the next and repeat this routine in a race to become a half assed developer as soon as possible. That's not going to put your career on a good foundation. Coding is a journey, not a race for largely fictional fortunes.

1 hour later and I feel like I've made more progress than learning on my own for weeks. It rally helps when someone explains concepts to me, and you are great at it. Thanks man!
This is amazing. I’m sure some bollocks website would have charged £40 for a series video like this; chopped it into 10 videos; and skimmed over everything to just send you to a blog. Thank you, Brad. Really appreciate this
Definitely me. Before this, I've done Python & JavaScript tutorials. This is more of a transition for me. AI and what it can do for the disabled is fascinating. Stepping into IT during quarantine.
One hour well spent. I know it isn't a complete and full guide on html, but I feel like I learned so much even for just a basic website layout. Definitely want to learn more after watching this. I'm working towards building my own online shop, and this feels like a great starting point.
I watched this course around a year ago and now (at the age of 14) i am making around £300 a week from making websites for companies, This is a really profitable business and his series is definitely a must watch!!!!!!! . . Well done and thanks so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Recent CS grad that didn't take an html/web design based classes and this was a huge help getting started on putting together my personal website. I was a bit skeptical at first because I was really just looking for the tags and there usage. You described things clearly and concisely however and I felt like it was worth it to not skip around, and actually listen to all your teachings. Looking forward to watching the css and javascript videos.
Just wanted to say I am very much a beginner programmer, but after watching your video I actually feel pretty confident about basic HTML markup now, gonna move on to your CSS video for sure. Subscribed!

Ever since I discovered your channel I never switched and probably won't. Your content has an enormous value that is much appreciated. Thank you a lot for being awesome!
The way you break into pieces for beginners is incredible. I’ve watched quite other TH-cam channels about the same topic and yours is absolutely on top. Thank you very much❤️
Wow! Thank you. 👏 👏 I'm an Administrative Assistant and loving working from home during quarantine. I'm hoping I can learn front end development and eventually turn this remote work thing permanent. And it never hurts to learn something new.
I'm currently taking a course in HTML5 and CSS for my degree and decided to watch this video before reading any of the content for the course. I sure found this helpful so when I take my quizzes and such I feel like I will be 2 steps ahead and get through the course a LOT quicker. Thank you and love the videos. Definitely will subscribe for any additional resources
Thank you for this! I've actually learned HTML 20 years ago for fun so I'm not a beginner per se but I've decided to pursue frontend dev seriously and this was a good refresher. You've actually clarified some of the newer tags I'm unfamiliar with like using "strong" and not "b" or not using "tables" for layouts, and semantic HTML. So thank you for that.
Monday 27/06/22 I started my 12 Weeks journey to become Web developer starting with this video, I will be learning to code for 4h everyday for 3months and hopefully by then, I would be a confident web dev... I am documenting my journey on my youtube channel. Good Luck everyone👍🏽 we can do it.
As a beginner with no experience in computing or coding so far, this turned out to be one of the best course for an absolute beginner like me, Thanks Brad! Keep going.
hey! how long did it take you to understand this (did you have to rewatch it a couple times or just once ) and how confident do you feel with html now out of 10.
I have absolutely ZERO experience with HTML. I have tried other "beginner" tutorials, and they are probably ridiculously easy for most people that are already familiar with the basics...however this video is the first one I actually understood from the very beginning to the end. By the way you speak, it definitely sounds like you know quite a bit about all of this, and again I just want to reiterate how clearly you explained everything for someone like me that had no clue what html even stood for. Thank you.
Hello there, I believe you're doing well during this hard time we are all facing. I see you're interested in learning HTML, if that's so then I run a channel where I upload tutorials on HTML, CSS, and javascript. If that's something that interests you, then please visit my channel, I got a lot of tutorials to choose from and I believe they will help you. And consider subscribing and don't forget to leave me a comment of what you would like to see next. Thank you and stay safe out there.
Grant Todd Fuck school. Those 12 years of algebra, geometry, ela, well... history I learned some, and science are all gone in my memories. Why? Freaking tests mate. Those cramming ain't good and this is why getting high grades in school is pointless. Only time that was important to me was going to high-school and that was doing good in 8th grade for 9th grade. That is the only time I would study hard but from grade 3rd-7th, I should've just relaxed and study my OWN stuff.
This is the best html course I've seen. Precise, direct and straight to the details. Now I know why Brad is so succesful. He knows exactly what to teach ir order to help you to be a great developer. Thank youi.
This was awesome. Learned a lot in 1 hour. Your teaching style is effective because you don't sugar-coat anything; straightforward and right down to business, I like that! Well done
First time here on recommendation of my cousin. I have never been able to do any type of coding before. I have never coded in the past and am a teacher by trade trying to break into this field. I was able to follow along and make everything, which is great! I tried Python last year and I couldn't do it at all. It was so frustrating. This channel is giving me hope! Thank you!
Watched the whole thing! I dabbled in some HTML last year and fell away from it but this was a whole new level of interest. You explain it so so well and I’m definitely learning a lot more than before. Here to stay man! Thanks for this :)
For everybody who has problems creating a HTML file: 1. Go to your folder options and make sure that he checkbox labelled "hide extensions for known file types" is not checked. 2. Now, your "index.html" has turned to "index.html.txt", because the "txt" was hidden. 3. Just rename the file and remove the ".txt" and it will change it to an HTML file :)
@@randomanonymoushuman He says "if you don't see the .html". I personally could see ".html", but the file was a text file, because the ".txt" was hidden.
Incredibly impressed with this video. As an absolute beginner, I had half expected to get lost in the jargon and move on after a few minutes, but I watched it all the way through and already feel I know way more than when I started. I'm excited to continue learning.
This is honestly so helpful, I’m currently taking a course to get into a program and I am an absolute beginner like didn’t know what HTML meant so at least when my next class starts I’ll know something before going into it
it amazes me how I'm paying for a course I failed the Assessment twice doing worse on the second attempt. and that was going through the course material practice quizzes etc. only to find that I'm not the only one who has this problems with this course and how the course material doesn't line up with the actual assessment. to find a reddit post leading me here. thankfully. I would've been screwed if it wasn't for these videos TYVM!
I was looking for an HTML course to use as a refresher before starting a job in which i will need to use it. Honestly i'm 15 min in and it's the best course i've followed online. In the past I've tried to learn python from courses on udemy for which I had to pay for and they were absolute rubbish, i wish they were more like this one. I like the speed and that the guy is no bullshit and gives out exactly the kind of information you want to know, also he doesn't get carried away and start talking about irrelevant things (which i saw quite a lot in courses like this), he is concise and to the point. Thank you for this course, it really makes my life easier!
Great tutorial! I need to learn HTML and CSS for my software engineering course and this made the whole process seem much more digestible! Thanks a ton!
I am 46 years old and a 20 year U.S. Navy Veteran that just got COVID. I have been in logistics for over 25 years and I have to look for a new way to make cash. Being that I can't go outside I have to learn something else. Thank you for making these videos and I am trying to learn as much as I can so hopefully I am no longer box-kicking but writing code all day. I will say I was doing awesome up until the last portion with the CSS tag part. It made my whole screen go blank but being the sailor I am, failure isn't an option when I got hungry mouths to feed. Thank you...
Thanks brother! It's been a while, I'm getting back into web dev after a long break. I taught myself using notepad back in the day. Your channel and videos are second to none. 🙏
I really enjoyed this video. took me 4 hours to get through because I was writing notes and writing the code along with you. Thank you for making this and I can't wait to watch the others!
This is gonna be long but bear with me. I want to say thank you! It was the year 2018. I was sick, unemployed and at a very low point in my life. I started drinking a fair amount of alcohol every day and had no idea how I should get out of this hole. Then my gf and I had a brainstorming and I just realized that I was always interested in programming. I did my research and discovered your channel. I started with the very basics and checked out your HTML and CSS crash courses. I started to drink less and less alcohol because it reduced the effectiveness of learning and practising. I am living in Germany and fought my way through to be able to attend a software developement school for two years. I was motivated and had all the will-power of the world so at first I attended a language school to break down the language barrier and then I was attending the programming school. I succeeded at the final written exam in November last year and today I had my final oral exam which I completed with an excellent result. Today is the day on which I have become a certified software developer acknowledged by the German state. The company at which I did my internship employed me and my very new life bas just begun. Thank you very much for all your inspiring content, youtube and udemy courses that helped me improve along the way! This is the video where my journey started so I guess this is a good place to say THANK YOU!
Watched it twice. Thanks man! Honestly been trying to learn anything coding wise for two years now and this is the first video I’ve completed (twice lol) so you’re awesome dude!
Hey man would it be possible if you made a series where we would create & launch a real functional website from start to finish? So for example, the series would start off with easier stuff like HTML & CSS, then Javascript, and then we would move on to more and more advanced stuff like setting up a functional registration form and newsletter. We would add more functionality to our site and learn more backend as the series goes on, like PHP. I feel like that's a lot to ask but just so you know i have bought one of your courses on udemy already to support you! Thanks for everything!
I was always wanting to learn to html, but it was like never had enough time to really dig into it. With this lesson it just happened in a couple of hours. Very good. Thank you, Brad!
My training as a web developer started in mid-September. What I learned today is something I didn't learn in my course. If you don't have this basics, it's hard to follow along. They mix it with JavaScript, CSS and PHP. Thank you! Best teacher

I watched this in december 2021 and I know HTML, css, php and all programing language change every day because ginius ppl like you. thank you very much.
I hadnt practiced coding in years and I'm about to start school for my bachelors in web design so I wanted a jump on understanding the basics before classes start. This is perfect. Thank you so much.
Awesome class.
I've started from zero. Happy for me. Thanks Mr Traversy.

I will literally sit and listen to a 4 hour webinar of this.
Ikr this was so informative
The 1 hour was definitely worth it

1 hour later and I feel like I've made more progress than learning on my own for weeks. It rally helps when someone explains concepts to me, and you are great at it. Thanks man!

This is amazing. I’m sure some bollocks website would have charged £40 for a series video like this; chopped it into 10 videos; and skimmed over everything to just send you to a blog. Thank you, Brad. Really appreciate this

I was a bit skeptical at first because I was really just looking for the tags and there usage. You described things clearly and concisely however and I felt like it was worth it to not skip around, and actually listen to all your teachings. Looking forward to watching the css and javascript videos.

The way you break into pieces for beginners is incredible. I’ve watched quite other TH-cam channels about the same topic and yours is absolutely on top. Thank you very much❤️
Wow! Thank you. 👏 👏
I'm an Administrative Assistant and loving working from home during quarantine. I'm hoping I can learn front end development and eventually turn this remote work thing permanent.
And it never hurts to learn something new.
The only one hour I won't regret spending it on youtube. You are a star 🌟 mate. You are My first step in coding.
Nice to see I’m not the only one who learned HTML for fun 20 years ago lol. This definitely was a good refresher.
This is what I need as a senior who is retooling to keep working. Thank you and I will continue to watch, grow, and learn. Please keep forging ahead.
Monday 27/06/22 I started my 12 Weeks journey to become Web developer starting with this video, I will be learning to code for 4h everyday for 3months and hopefully by then, I would be a confident web dev... I am documenting my journey on my youtube channel.
Good Luck everyone👍🏽 we can do it.

hey! how long did it take you to understand this (did you have to rewatch it a couple times or just once ) and how confident do you feel with html now out of 10.

TH-cam University, Thank you for Teach us for free. God Bless You.
Thank you.
I’m gonna take this series and really dive in. This going to be the key to live a better life. I’m so glad I came across this channel.
And here what we have is a semester course worth of my time compacted into an hour long lecture...
Hello there, I believe you're doing well during this hard time we are all facing. And consider subscribing and don't forget to leave me a comment of what you would like to see next. Thank you and stay safe out there.
lol why would they take a whole semester for this
TH-cam schooling is better than going to an actual one.

Soo sad actually
Grant Todd Fuck school. Those 12 years of algebra, geometry, ela, well... history I learned some, and science are all gone in my memories. Why? Freaking tests mate. Those cramming ain't good and this is why getting high grades in school is pointless. Only time that was important to me was going to high-school and that was doing good in 8th grade for 9th grade. That is the only time I would study hard but from grade 3rd-7th, I should've just relaxed and study my OWN stuff.
what he went through in this 1 hour video took us 3 months to learn in my college. un fucking believable

Thank you!

For everybody who has problems creating a HTML file:
1. Go to your folder options and make sure that he checkbox labelled "hide extensions for known file types" is not checked.
2. Now, your "index.html" has turned to "index.html.txt", because the "txt" was hidden.
3. Just rename the file and remove the ".txt" and it will change it to an HTML file :)
thanks for the tip but he explains this at 9:20

He says "if you don't see the .html".
I personally could see ".html", but the file was a text file, because the ".txt" was hidden.
