This is Dan in lot 444. What a great editing job, loved the video. Thanks for all the hard work you and all the other work campers put in this year. Cafe 55 had awesome food, and I hate to see it close for the season. Of course I am your newest subscriber. Safe travels and keep on enjoying the adventure.
Thank you so much for taking the time to watch Dan (and acknowledging Cafe 55)! Make sure you introduce yourself at some point. We wish you well and we'll see you area the resort before we leave.
Very cool! After recent challenges (tire and content) I'm glad to see the work camping was a challenge overcome and lots of fun along the way!! Happy Trails!
Very informative. I’ve known of workcamping for years, but have seen little of it. Everyone knows about being a host, but this was eye opening. Your on camera presence is very good. Good editing and transitions. I’ll be going back enjoying your past content. All the best.
Hi Lily! We've really enjoyed getting to know everyone one here. It's a special place and it's the people here who make it special. Thank you so much for commenting Lily and we wish you and everyone well!
Awesome job and thanks for appreciating my addiction to pablano sauce! Glad you and your family had fun at the Palms! This was our first season here and we certainly did :)
Thank you so much for the kind words! And who can blame anyone for an addiction the pablano sauce! Good stuff! Glad you also enjoyed your time here. Wishing you well!
We never work camped though we talked about it. We managed to do well running a website design biz. We did stay at a snowbird park at one point, and it felt like living in a mobile home park with all the park models and retirees. It wasn't the "great outdoors" and "back to Earth" we were searching for. Palms sounds like a true resort, not an RV park, I had heard about it, but had not seen it .
Awesome to hear from you Steve! It was definitely outside our comfort zone, but I really appreciate having learned a new skill set in the kitchen. And wow, what a great bunch of people here! I, like you want to be out in the wild, but I don't regret giving this opportunity a shot. The path you have taken is still our favorite. Hopefully our paths cross at some point. Back to boondocking for us! Stay well Steve!
You make it sound fun! I didn’t catch the hours per month that you worked. For me, regardless where I work camp, I’d require more compensation that what was presented here. Guess I’m not into the “resort” scene.
It was way out of our comfort zone, but a great learning experience! Totaled about 16 hours a week working. Appreciate the comment and you following along. Wishing you well!
Great video. Glad you guys accepted the challenge. Jace says he misses the boys. Ask Glynn if he'll make me a pizza with every topping available on it!!😂😂
I certainly traded labor for a few spots a couple of times. But it was always on private property with another couple or family. The experience was always pretty good and we made friends along the way! But this looks absolutely fantastic. Kind of like taking a cruse but being able to take part in its production. And you have your home with you as well, so its got a greater sense of permanence and familiarity to it as well. Maybe this is something we should consider doing...
We had a feeling you had the opportunity to help others for a place to stay. We originally said no to this gig, but are very glad we changed our minds. You nailed it being like on a cruise with a hand in production. It's been a great experience! As always, thank you for commenting!
@@ResetYourJourney For me, it has to be that having your home with you makes this better than any cruise you could go on as well. Glad you accepted it! Given how expensive real estate is getting and will go, this may be the thing to do for a few months each year. I am willing to bet your expenses will be lower than usual. I look forward to that breakdown.
I know the chef who was running things for the work campers is no longer there, so we have no one to connect you with. That said emailing the main office might offer a solution. If they are taking work campers, it's a great gig. I hope it works out for you. Appreciate you following along!
Prior kitchen experience is not necessary. It might help, but everything that's prepared at The Palms is fairly easy to learn. The chef is really looking for people he can count on and who learn quickly and easily. It really was a great experience! Thank you for commenting Kaye. Wishing you well!

You are right on all fronts.
What a great resort
Turns out, it's the people here who make it a great resort! Thank you so much for commenting!
It is! We came for a month and purchased a Casita within 4 days!
Hi Francee! So glad you've joined our TH-cam family! And thank you so much for commenting!
Great video. Looks like a great resort. How many months left? Thanks Don
Hey Don. We're wrapping up now. It was a short stint to try it, challenge ourselves and learn something new. Totally worth it! Stay well!
When do the RYJ edition Cabana Boy shirts go on sale!?
That's awesome Andrew!!! We're on it....
Where do you go to find out about open positions for work campers? I went to their website but did not see an employment or jobs area.

Look at the RV park reviews.
I think I'll pass to work there.
It was still a good time. But it will be the last time we'll ever work camp. Thanks for following along and commenting!
