    There is some great Golf content put out there by the likes of Mark Crossfield, Me & My Golf etc but this is probably my favourite Golf Vlog yet. How good is Brian???? Great Value! You guys have gotta get him over to the UK at some point for a Masters, Open or Ryder Cup Special. Well done fellas, outstanding work as usual. The content from both your channels continues to get better and better. Enjoy the trip. #WTF ???

    One of my, sort-of 'home courses'. I try to play there about once a month. I love that track! And, yes, we take our Sand-hill Cranes very seriously: You will find them all over FL (especially on golf courses), they are one of our most beloved species of wildlife, and they mate for life - so if one gets killed, you effectively remove 2 from the breeding pool. We don't play around when it comes to them.

    I have to say I was more impressed with Brian's ball striking at speed than his distance. Obviously, if you swing it as hard as he does the ball will go a long way, but to be able to strike it as well as he does is incredible!

That's his way everybody in the world can have a off day. Great to see a pro without text book lines and angles IMO. Any swing can work!

    TOP GOLF BANTER!!
    ***** Going out on the golf course with friends (or in your case, with what seems like 2 over excited school boys in the form of Finchy and Rick). and #hulksmash every club in the bag is what makes golf so entertaining. I'm sure you play pretty serious when your in an event.
    To the comments regarding Brian's hulk smash: #whysoserious ? if you want to see serious competition play then switch to the golf channel, if you want to see a bunch of (skilled) lads having fun on a course, be entertained, and learn something.. then this vid is for you!

    Brian is obviously a big hitter but it seems like he's more interested in distance than actual common sense with his own club selection. Less ego and more thought he'd be half dangerous.

  • @indy54931
    @indy54931 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    Well, I dunno... Brian looks like a nice guy, but I think he´s a little bit egoistic... Golf is not about how far you hit it. When I saw that 120% swing with PW for 180 yards.. It was pretty obvious he has no control in this shot. I know it´s hard, but try to keep ego behind you Brian... Great course and video btw!

    What I saw was a pro miss the green by 25 metres to the right with a PW .... agree with some of the comments below. He seemed to land a club short anyway, and if he wasn't trying to hit the snot out of it for youtube, he probably would have been hitting an 8i, which is just your usual long player. Wouldn't go to him for course management lessons ....

  • @joeylongjohn1979
    @joeylongjohn1979 9 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    I would take Rich and Pete's swing any day over the 180 PW guy. Man that's one ugly swing. He is way too caught up on distance and is bogeying every hole. I loved how Shiels blew it by him on the first. Sweet!!!!!!!

    • @37zmanlake
      @37zmanlake 9 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It reminds me of Angel, which I think is a great swing. Don't see the "ugly" in it what so ever. When u strike it like that and hit it that far tho your bound to make a lot of people jealous.

    • @cwugrad396
      @cwugrad396 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I am sure Jim Furyk, who has over $60 million in career earnings, will tell you the swing does not have to be pretty to get the job done

      An ugly swing is an ugly swing, the truth hurts. If I had to choose between Ernie Els beautiful swing and his 65 million in earnings vs Jim Furyk's funky chicken swing and his 60 million earnings, I would choose the Big Easy any day. I am way more jealous of Rick and Pete's swing than Brian's swing.

  • @seanh8337

    The guy's distance is impressive, but let's stop exaggerating: down-wind with a wedge (10 yards), downhill lie (5 yards), plays a hard draw (5-10 yards), and he WASN'T PIN HIGH (5-10 yards short, hard to tell with video). So he actually just hit a pitching wedge 145 yards... hardly impressive at 6'4"

    • @mert1en
      @mert1en 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wow. Firstly, the ball was pin high. There was basically no wind if you look closely in the video. I feel like you're the one who's exaggerating.
      And why mention his draw? Thats a part of his swing, not a outer factor. Thats the equivalent of saying something like: "he swings the club fast" as an argument for your point that he doesn't hit it 180 with SW. The shot has a bit of downhill aswell as a very sleight downwind which I conclude as being about a 5-10 yard help; 170-175 SW, nowere near 145.

    • @mert1en

An invalid argument. Finally i would say the SW is about 170-175 in neutral conditions. Very sleight downwind and sleight downhill (and as mentioned, the ball was pin high) which altogether Is about 5-10 yards help. 170-175 SW.

    • @mert1en

There is a little downhill as well as a very sleight downwind which would in my mind affect the ball about 5-10 yards. So it is a 170-175 SW, nowhere near 145.

    • @seanh8337
      @seanh8337 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      mert1en He is down-wind and short of pin high. He even stated before he hit 'a little downwind a little downhill'. And look at where he's chipping from: he's chipping OVER the ridge (hence why he tries a flop instead a standard pitch) that is ~8yards SHORT of the flag (you can see that ridge at 24:07). His PW traveled 150 yards at best. Think about this: the hole before he pulled a 5-iron from 220 and was 20 YARDS SHORT! If you honestly think he hits is PW 170-175, that swing speed would mean a 5iron of AT LEAST 240 (yet he hit it 200 on what the videographer called a solid-sounding strike). There's more proof that you're wrong...

    • @iniallator1655
      @iniallator1655 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Sean H You saying that pete's 7 iron played only 150 ish aswell? Obviously not. He hits it far, get over it. Great spectacle :)

  • @sijones501
    @sijones501 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    There’s NOTHING impressive about a guy taking macho club selections and coming up short every time - it just looks stoooopid. He was NOT pin high with that PW. It was an 8 iron for him all day. 2 clubs short. And if he took the right club rather than trying to show off, he wouldn’t need to put that ugly big swing on it.
