    BUNNYYY!!! You should test out a rock tumbler!! Even though it’ll take you like a month to complete the video til the end, it would be so so fun to see the whole experience :)

      Yes! But fair warning, best to put the machine in an area where the sound is muffled (like the garage) or at least as far from where you sleep as possible. It's a LOUD process.

    Bunny you should try the tie-dye kits from the youtubers The Skorys. The dye is super vibrant and i think you would really like the different themes.

    I think you are right about the bear being synthetic and needing specific dyes for it. I had that happen to a project before and all that stuck to it was the same blue color as your bear.

    I think maybe he’s supposed to be a pastel tie dye and that’s why the colors are light. I LOVE this kit I need it

    When I went through a huge tie dye phase a few years back I bought powdered dye and soda ash. From what I can tell the pre-soaking with the soda ash is how you get it to really stick and stay vibrant. But if it included soda ash I don’t think it could be a children’s kit anymore because inhaling it or touching the powder directly can lead to chemical burns.
    Edit: OH in the last part of the video you mention legit tie dye kits and soda ash!

    I make a lot of crochet amigurumi. Pro tip: The easy way to poke polyfill stuffing into arms and legs is to use the eraser end of a pencil. Preferably a brand new pencil that hasn't been sharpened or had the eraser used or worn down at all. The eraser sort of grips the slippery polyfill and helps to poke it where you want it to go (especially when filling feet and paws).

    Usually you are suppose to wet the item of clothing you are about to dye dont you? So Maybe that is why it beaded up?

  • @aprilvinyard1900
    @aprilvinyard1900 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Tie dye tips: pre washing your fabric in hot water helps get rid of the coating that the manufacturer put in it. (This is what caused the dye to bead up), soaking in soda ash helps the dye bind to the fabric, and, fabric needs to be at least 60% cotton or natural fibers to absorb the dye. Because it was polyester, you won't see hardly any dye remain. :)

    I'm thinking, you should stuff the bear and then put it in the egg shape. It would FILL the space and the nozzels would be able to touch the bear. The spinning is to turn it to reach each side to get portals. JMHO

  • @laceyriles5846

    Because it’s not very pigmented after rinsing, maybe you should try to skip the rinsing process next time and just straight dry it after the waiting period? Maybe that might help the colors to stay more vibrant?

  • @jessicaamaya2773

    I know when I've done tie dye before one of the steps was to soak the shirt in boiling water after applying the dye. for like a half hour or something. so idk that seemed to work well. I wonder if that would make a difference with other tie dye kits.
