      I was there around the same time. Seems a lot more developed and touristy from this video. I'm going back in 2 months. Hoping it hasn't changed too much.

    Very good video. In our younger years my husband and I would spend a month in Manuel Antonio every year. Our first year, before a hurricane blow it down, we had cabannas on the beach, which is now Hotel Manuel Antonio. The waves would lap at our feet. We paid $11.00 per night Canadian. This of course is before it became a tourist site. Many, many happy memories.

    I did that ATV tour. Riding through the town and going up the mountains was amazing. They could have done better with the food. We stayed at Makanda by the sea, it’s was a real nice hotel.

    I am not sure if you talked about prices at any point but this is only doable for probably several thousand dollars USD, it is still possible to travel Costa Rica under $1000 USD or even under $600 USD a month (not including airfare) but it will not look like this. Good video :)

    Traveling there in 2 days, thank you so much for your video!!! I’m coming from the US do you find that they only accept the Colon? Or dollars as well? Just wondering.

    so you missed talking about the 2 beaches that are inside of the Park and seems like you also missed visiting Biesanz beach(a hidden gem). Hope you can come back soon to visit those beaches and there's also another beach you can visit inside of the park which very few people get to visit, but you will need a Park guide permission to go there(just ask them, most likely they'll go there with you because only locals go there)

      I visited the town of quepos and went to boutiques in Manuel Antonio by the beach. I also would spend a lot of time at the beach just exploring and seeing sloths and raccoons on the beach was normal!

    Do you recommend staying in Quepos or Manuel Antonio?/Do you know which one is cheaper?

    • @BelakiDesigns
      @BelakiDesigns  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would say Manuel Antonio is cheaper but prices may have changed since then.

    Did you take a bus from the San Jose airport? I'm trying to figure out how I will get to Quepos when I visit next month.

    • @BelakiDesigns
      @BelakiDesigns  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I was with a large group so we took a bus, the tours we took came with transport and we took the local bus around town

    • @BelakiDesigns

    My fiancé and I will be going in about 2 weeks! I’m on the fence about renting a car. We’re staying for 5 days and planning to stay in the Quepos/Manuel Antonio area. Would you recommend renting a car? We’re staying at the Falls Resort at Manuel Antonio.

    • @BelakiDesigns
      @BelakiDesigns  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Falls resort is located about a half mile from the hotel Costa verde where I stayed and we didn’t bother renting a car. The bus is a great way to get around or walking because there are several great restaurants and shops in that area. Also, all the tours I did included a ride to and from!
