A 3 season room makes a good storage place to keep things that are nice, chilled by nature. It's a more refreshing cold than a refrigerator offers. I kept Soda, Fruits, and vegetables and things that temperature doesn't matter, in the winter time. I tend to stock up differently, in the winter, just to keep from going to the store so often.

Curious about all the gaps in the building enveloppe of this 3 season porch. Air and water will leak in all the "wall" cavities, and moisture will have a harder time escaping now that it's closed and insulated. Wouldn't it fare better to properly waterproof it? I understand cedar is resilient, but it becomes an interior space after all.

I'm soooo with you Jeff on the Philips screws. I work in electronics and security systems, and of course everything is made in China and comes with Philips screws. Unless they are specialized sizes for special applications, they go straight in the trash and I break out my Robertson. I have been dabbling in woodworking for a few years and I'm amazed how all the American sites and publications have only recently come to know the Robertson/square head screw.

anderson and pella door companies always require separate purchase for door handles. One reason is with the different options for finishes, ie... brushed nickel, chrome, white, black etc.... Most store associates who regularly sell doors in those departments will let the customer know but again this leaves room for error and is completely frustrating. They are very nice doors and hold up well over time and i've installed a bunch over the years

The door is like buying a $1500 bike and discovering it doesn't come with pedals. Turns out, expensive stuff with frequent contact points sometimes doesn't come with one cheap part because it is often switched out and replaced. The individuals that buy $1500 bikes yank the pedals off when they get home and put different ones on. I'm guessing this is a similar issue with the door. Frequent contact point that is personal to the individual. At a certain price point, the part is sold separately to save you time from removing it or its shipping weight.

I am viewing your entire series a bit late I am wanting to upgrade a cement floor screening porch to a 3 season room . Is rebar needed how far apart?

Is it not necessary to insulate the floor so it doesn't get too cold even though it is a three season space?
